Sorry, Swifties and Arianators! It looks like your faves, Taylor Swift<\/a><\/strong> and Ariana Grande<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0won’t be attending the 2019 Grammys<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There’s no bad blood between\u00a0the 29-year-old singer and The Recording Academy. In fact,\u00a0she’s\u00a0nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for\u00a0Reputation<\/em>.<\/p>\n

E! News has learned that Taylor won’t be attending the Grammy Awards due to filming in London.<\/p>\n

As for the “7 Rings” singer? It seems she’s saying “thank u, next” to this year’s Grammys. There’s allegedly a\u00a0bit of drama between\u00a0Grande and The Recording Academy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Variety<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>reported the 25-year-old pop star wasn’t attending or<\/em> performing at Sunday night’s awards show “due to a disagreement with Grammy producers over which songs she would perform.”<\/p>\n

According to the publication’s source, the “Thank U, Next” singer “felt insulted after producers initially refused to allow her to perform “7 Rings,” which is her latest chart-topping single.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Traditionally, artists are allowed to perform the songs they are nominated for, and Grande isn’t nominated for “7 Rings,” considering it recently came out. She’s nominated for her Sweetener<\/em> album and “God Is a Woman” song.<\/p>\n

Ken Ehrlich<\/strong>, The Recording Academy Executive Producer, tells E! News,\u00a0“I don’t think [Ariana will perform], there’s not enough time to make it work.”\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“It would have been nice,” he says.\u00a0\u00a0Adding, “We would love to have her back, though.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Neil Portnow<\/strong>, The Recording Academy President, is a bit more hopeful about the possibility of her performing, telling us, “Until Sunday, we don’t know how things turn out.”<\/p>\n

“We love Ariana… We won’t know exactly what this show will be until Sunday.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

However, the “Thank U, Next” singer released a\u00a0statement on Twitter<\/a>\u00a0about the Grammys, writing, “I’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken.”<\/p>\n

Continuing her post,\u00a0“It was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.”<\/p>\n

“i offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me,” she wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Closing her statement<\/a> with, “Hope that helps everyone understands my decision i am still grateful for the acknowledgement this year.”<\/p>\n

It looks like Ariana isn’t\u00a0going to the awards show after all.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
