Congrats to\u00a0Childish Gambino<\/strong>, akaDonald Glover<\/a><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

On Sunday,\u00a0<\/strong>the hip-hop star and actor won Song of the Year at the\u00a02019 Grammys<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0for his hit “This Is America,” marking his third win of the night and fourth overall. He\u00a0shared the honor with\u00a0co-songwriter Ludwig G\u00f6ransson<\/strong>. Neither attended the ceremony. Host\u00a0Alicia Keys<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0John Mayer<\/a><\/strong> presented the award for\u00a0Song of the Year and accepted it in\u00a0Glover’s honor.<\/p>\n

“Childish!” Keys said, smiling and holding up the Grammy.<\/p>\n

For Song of the Year, Glover and G\u00f6ransson\u00a0and\u00a0beat\u00a0Kendick Lamar<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0SZA<\/a><\/strong>‘s “All the Stars,”\u00a0Ella Mai<\/strong>‘s “Boo’d Up,”\u00a0Drake<\/a><\/strong>‘s “God’s Plan,”\u00a0Shawn Mendes<\/a><\/strong>‘ “In My Blood,”\u00a0Brandi Carlile<\/strong>‘s “The Joke,”\u00a0Zedd<\/strong>,\u00a0Maren Morris<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Grey<\/strong>‘s\u00a0“The Middle”\u00a0and Lady Gaga<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Bradley Cooper<\/a><\/strong>‘s\u00a0A Star Is Born<\/em>\u00a0song\u00a0“Shallow.”<\/p>\n

Last week, Glover and G\u00f6ransson attended a Grammy party that the latter hosted threw in Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Before the 2019 Grammys began, the Recording Academy announced that Childish Gambino won the awards for Best Music Video<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Best Rap\/Sung Performance for “This Is America.” He was nominated for a total of five Grammys this year, including four for “This Is America.”<\/p>\n

Prior to this year,\u00a0he had won one Grammy, in 2018.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

The 2019 Grammy Awards were held at Los Angeles’ Staples Center and aired live on CBS.<\/p>\n
