I know it&#8217;s exciting and fun to be like, \u2018Will it sink or will it float?&#8217; \u2018What&#8217;s going to happen?&#8217; \u2018Can women exist in the world?&#8217; \u2018We&#8217;re not sure yet!&#8217; But women have been opening movies since the silent era,&#8221; Brie shared with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/features\/captain-marvels-brie-larson-cant-save-womankind-but-shes-doing-her-best-1185915\" target=\"_blank\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em>. &#8220;We have been part of every major art movement. What strength looks like, the complexities of the female experience, female representation,&#8221; she explained to the publication. &#8220;It&#8217;s surprising and cool that my first giant movie I get to be having those kinds of conversations. But that&#8217;s also why I&#8217;ve waited and been particular about what jobs I do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>With <em>Captain Marvel<\/em> scheduled to hit theatres everywhere March 8, many in the industry sincerely hope this is only the beginning of talented actresses earning big-time roles in Marvel movies.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-4\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"59\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"8\">\n<p>&#8220;We feel like it&#8217;ll be the first of many,&#8221; Marvel Studios president <strong>Kevin Feige<\/strong> told <em>THR<\/em>. &#8220;There were a lot of men in that initial run of Avengers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As an added treat, Brie&#8217;s character will return to theaters just seven weeks later in <em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1014775\/brie-larson-s-motivation-for-becoming-captain-marvel-is-true-girl-power?cmpid=rss-000000-rssfeed-365-topstories&#038;utm_source=eonline&#038;utm_medium=rssfeeds&#038;utm_campaign=rss_topstories\" target=\"_blank\">via:: E!
