Prince William<\/a><\/strong> and brother\u00a0Prince Harry<\/a><\/strong>‘s professional\u00a0“breakup” is happening sooner rather than later,\u00a0E! News has confirmed.<\/p>\n

In October, the\u00a0Sunday Times<\/a><\/em> had reported that the two were “considering a formal division of their joint royal household, which is based at Kensington Palace, and the creation of separate courts to reflect their increasingly different responsibilities.” On Sunday, a source told\u00a0E! News that William, who is second in line to the British throne, and Harry are set to split their household within weeks, confirming a new\u00a0Sunday Times<\/em><\/a>\u00a0report.<\/p>\n

The newspaper said the division will happen before the birth of Harry and wife\u00a0Meghan Markle<\/a><\/strong>‘s first child this spring.<\/p>\n

The source told E! News it\u00a0is hoped the split of the household will help ease the reported tensions between the brothers and their wives<\/a>.\u00a0William, wife\u00a0Kate Middleton<\/a><\/strong> and Harry and Meghan were last\u00a0spotted all together on Christmas, where they were all smiles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The source also told E! News that the first major division of the joint royal household will be of their media team, adding that\u00a0William and Harry “working together” on the plans. The two courts would also have separate staff.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“When William becomes the Prince of Wales, he will take on a lot of extra responsibility, including the Duchy of Cornwall,” a source told the\u00a0Sunday Times<\/em>.\u00a0“Harry and Meghan have none of that, and seem ambitious about forging their own paths.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Kensington Palace has not commented on the reports.<\/p>\n

The palace did, however, announce in November that Harry and Meghan plan to move out<\/a> of Nottingham Cottage\u00a0in the Kensington Palace complex, where William and Kate’s family\u00a0have a massive apartment, and into Frogmore Cottage on\u00a0Queen Elizabeth II<\/strong>‘s Windsor estate.\u00a0The Sunday Times<\/em> reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new separate office is expected to remain at Kensington Palace.<\/p>\n

William and Kate will continue to work together with Harry and Meghan on charitable causes spearheaded by the\u00a0quartet’s Royal Foundation, the newspaper said.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
