Serena Williams<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and Alexis Ohanian\u00a0<\/strong>may not have celebrated their\u00a0daughter Olympia<\/strong>‘s\u00a0first birthday last summer<\/a>, but\u00a0they did throw her a party\u00a0on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The tennis star posted on her Instagram Story videos from the bash.<\/p>\n

“I wanted to just do something fun because we don’t do birthdays,”\u00a0said Serena, who is a Jehovah’s Witness.<\/p>\n

The party was held in the couple’s large\u00a0backyard and had a carnival theme. There was a mini Merry-Go-Round, a train and\u00a0various other activities and stations, including “Olympia’s Candy Shop.”<\/p>\n

Disney songs played on loudspeakers. Serena sang along with “Something There” from\u00a0Beauty and the Beast<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Olympia wore a red frilly polka dotted dress at the bash, which was attended by family and friends, including Serena’s agent.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Alexis posted a black and white photo of his little girl, writing, “OK, we’ll get some chickens & ducks.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Serena posted on her Instagram Story a video of a swing and slide set Alexis put together…with the slide not connected.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Alexis recently opened up about married life and fatherhood in an essay in\u00a0<\/a>Glamour U.K<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

“I’m far from perfect, but I try to get behind\u00a0[Serena] and let her know I’m there for her and our daughter, no matter what,” he wrote.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
