The Underworld<\/em>\u00a0actress, who has been spotted out<\/a> with Saturday Night Live<\/em> star Pete Davidson<\/a><\/strong> in recent months, took to Instagram over the weekend to respond to a comment about her dating choices. On Friday, Beckinsale posted a selfie along with the caption, “Here’s what I got from five years of biology class : ‘mollusc’ is Latin for ‘soft flesh’ and how to identify and label a urethra. Neither has kicked in yet as useful as of today.”<\/p>\n

In the comments of the post, one social media user wrote, “Disappointed in your dating choices.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Beckinsale returned to Instagram on Sunday to reply to the hater.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“fairly let down by your wonky beard but thought possibly rude to say,” the 45-year-old star responded.<\/p>\n

Beckinsale has become known for her witty replies on Instagram, addressing comments<\/a> about her rumored romance\u00a0with Davidson on multiple occasions.<\/p>\n

The actress and the comedian, 25, were first spotted flirting<\/a>\u00a0in January at an after-party for the 2019 Golden Globes<\/a><\/strong>. In early February, cameras\u00a0caught the duo holding hands<\/a> as they left his comedy show in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

A source close to Beckinsale has previously told E! News that the\u00a0Serendipity<\/em>\u00a0star\u00a0“has spent some time with him and thinks he’s very funny and charming,” adding, “It’s definitely not anything intense.”<\/p>\n

Prior to sparking relationship rumors with Beckinsale, Davidson was engaged to\u00a0Ariana Grande<\/a>. The couple\u00a0called it quits<\/a>\u00a0in October. Beckinsale\u00a0and actor\u00a0Michael Sheen<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0were together for eight years before splitting in 2003. They share a daughter,\u00a0Lily<\/a><\/strong>, born in 1999.\u00a0<\/p>\n
