Bindi Irwin<\/a><\/strong> and Robert Irwin<\/strong>\u00a0honored their late father, Steve Irwin<\/strong>, with sweet Instagram posts on his birthday.<\/p>\n

Bindi posted an adorable throwback of her dad holding a koala and her as a baby. She thoughtfully wrote, “Thank you for always being my guiding light. \u2764”\u00a0<\/p>\n

While her brother, Robert, also took to social media to remember his\u00a0father with a picture of a Google Doodle that the company created to honor the Australian television personality.<\/p>\n

“Thank you so much,\u00a0@google\u00a0for honouring dad with his own\u00a0#GoogleDoodle\u00a0all over the world. A perfect way to celebrate his birthday, sharing everything he did to make the world a better place,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

The Google Doodle was created to acknowledge “the life and achievements of my husband Steve Irwin, whose efforts to protect wildlife and wild places have been recognised as the most extensive of any conservationist. We are so proud that his legacy lives on, as that was his greatest wish,” according to a blog post<\/a> by his wife, Terri Irwin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

The Crocodile Hunter would have been 57 years old on Friday. In 2006, he died from\u00a0a stingray attack<\/a> while he was filming in Queensland, Australia.<\/p>\n

The family has continued Irwin’s missions in wildlife conservation<\/a> and environmentalism.<\/p>\n
