It’s time to go back.<\/p>\n

John Krasinski<\/a><\/strong> has\u00a0officially confirmed the release date for the sequel to\u00a0A Quiet Place<\/em>. The film’s director took to social media on Friday to announce that A Quiet Place 2<\/em> will indeed hit theaters on May 15, 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Along with a teaser photo, Krasinski wrote to his social media followers, “…time to go back. #PartII 5-15-20.”<\/p>\n

Krasinski has remained very tight-lipped about the sequel following the first film’s\u00a0massive success\u00a0in April, though he did reveal to E! News<\/a> back in November that he was in the writing process.<\/p>\n

“I’m writing the script now,” Krasinski told E! News at the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards in Los Angeles. “So if it’s any good, maybe we’ll make it.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

In addition to writing and directing the film, Krasinski also starred in the movie alongside his wife, Emily Blunt<\/a><\/strong>. So will Blunt be a part of the upcoming sequel? Krasinski\u00a0wouldn’t confirm or deny back in November.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“I don’t know, we’ll have to see,” Krasinski teased. “We’ll have to see who’s in it.”<\/p>\n

It was just last month that\u00a0Blunt was honored at the\u00a02019 SAG Awards<\/a><\/strong> for her performance in the movie. Blunt took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her work in A Quiet Place<\/em>, bringing Krasinski to tears<\/a> during her acceptance speech.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
