The 2019 Oscars<\/a> have finally arrived and we can’t wait to see what the night brings!<\/p>\n

For\u00a0only the second time in its 91-year history, the ceremony will\u00a0not have a host<\/a>. But no worries because as they say in Hollywood \u00ad\u2014the show must go on!<\/p>\n

Leading the pack of nominations is\u00a0Roma\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0The Favourite\u00a0<\/em>with 10 nod each. Both films will compete against\u00a0A Star is Born, The Green Book\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Black Panther\u00a0<\/em>to see\u00a0which film takes home the award<\/a>\u00a0for Best Picture.<\/p>\n

Emma Stone<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0nabbed her second Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress thanks to her role in\u00a0The Favourite\u00a0<\/em>and will compete against\u00a0Regina King<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Amy Adams<\/a><\/strong>, for their roles in\u00a0If Beale Street Could Talk\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Vice,\u00a0<\/em>respectively.<\/p>\n

The breakout star for the night is\u00a0Lady Gaga<\/a><\/strong>who scored her first acting nod for her role in\u00a0A Star is Born.\u00a0<\/em>The singer is also nominated for Best Original Song for the film’s chart-topping hit “Shallow.” She will compete against newcomer\u00a0Yalitza Aparicio<\/strong>\u00a0who is\u00a0nominated for her performance<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Roma.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Sadly,\u00a0Kendrick Lamar<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0SZA<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0have recently announced that they will not be performing their Oscar nominated hit, “All the Stars.” But the night will still see performances by\u00a0Jennifer Hudson<\/a><\/strong>, while Bette Midler<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0will sing a song from the\u00a0Marry Poppins Returns\u00a0<\/em>soundtrack.<\/p>\n

The competition for Best Actor will also be one to watch as\u00a0Bohemian Rhapsody’s\u00a0<\/em>Rami Malek<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is up against\u00a0Bradley Cooper<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Willem Dafoe,<\/strong>\u00a0for their roles in\u00a0A Star is Born\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0At Eternity’s Gate,\u00a0<\/em>respectively.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

It is bound to be a night full of snubs and surprises!<\/p>\n
