Where oh where was Mary Poppins?!<\/p>\n

That’s the question viewers were asking themselves at the 2019 Oscars<\/a> when Bette Midler<\/a><\/strong> took to the stage to perform.<\/p>\n

Because of the Best Original Song nomination<\/a>, Mary Poppins Returns<\/em>‘ “The Place Where the Lost Things Go” was put on display inside the Dolby Theatre.<\/p>\n

But instead of Emily Blunt<\/a><\/strong> performing the track, it was all Bette.<\/p>\n

“So, (drum roll) Ladies and Gentlemen, I will be chanteusing (that’s singing) on the Oscars on Feb 24…the nominated song from Mary Poppins<\/em>…The Place Where Lost Things Go …so excited!!” she shared<\/a> on Twitter earlier this month.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

While her performance was fantastic, some were left wondering why the star of the movie was nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n

As it turns out, Emily and her husband John Krasinski<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0didn’t attend Sunday’s ceremony. In fact, many believe they were snubbed<\/a> for their roles in Mary Poppins<\/em> and\/or A Quiet Place<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Ultimately, Lady Gaga<\/a><\/strong> and team won for Best Original Song thanks to A Star Is Born<\/em>‘s “Shallow.” The big win came moments after the singer performed<\/a> the track with Bradley Cooper<\/a><\/strong> on stage.<\/p>\n

To say it was a moment<\/a> may just be the biggest understatement at Hollywood’s biggest night.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
