Kathie Lee Gifford<\/a><\/strong> is ready to take her bow.<\/p>\n

On Monday’s broadcast, viewers learned the exact date the legendary TV host would make her exit. While fans of Gifford have known since early December<\/a> that she was leaving the Today<\/em> show some time in April, it’s been announced that her official last day is April 5.<\/p>\n

So mark your calendars and set your alarms!<\/p>\n

What’s more? Her\u00a0last day is right before her 11-year anniversary, which would’ve been on April 7th.<\/p>\n

The 65-year-old host isn’t throwing in the towel just yet. Kathie revealed that she plans to pursue other projects.<\/p>\n

During today’s announcement, co-host, Hoda Kotb<\/a><\/strong>, presented a touching compilation tribute of Gifford. It featured sweet messages from\u00a0her colleagues, including Andy Cohen<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(and his newborn baby), Regis Philbin<\/a><\/strong>, Katie Couric<\/a><\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

Throughout the video, each celebrity recalled working with or getting to know the legendary TV host and how special she was to them.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

In mid-December, Gifford broke the news she would be leaving<\/a> the Today<\/em> show in an emotional announcement.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“I have something to share with everybody, and it’s bittersweet, as these things always are,”\u00a0the 65-year-old TV personality began.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I’ve been here almost 11 years\u2014thought I would stay here one year. Something happened along the way: I fell in love with a beautiful Egyptian goddess. And now, when it’s our 11th anniversary I’m going to be leaving the\u00a0Today<\/em>\u00a0show.”<\/p>\n

She continued, “I know. It’s an exciting time for me and I’m thrilled about all the projects that are coming up.”<\/p>\n

The TV host closed her statement, saying, “But it’s also hard, because the reason I stayed longer than a year is because I love everybody so much.”<\/p>\n

Gifford’s last day is over a month away, which means fans of the host still have time to let this news sink in.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
