The Scooby gang got back together again. Pretty much the entire cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> (and some favorites from Angel<\/em>) reunited at a Wizard World convention and posted all the pics<\/a> to prove it.<\/p>\n

Alyson Hannigan<\/a><\/strong>, Charisma Carpenter<\/strong>, James Marsters<\/strong>, Amber Benson<\/strong>, Nicholas Brendon<\/strong>, Clare Kramer<\/strong>, Julie Benz<\/a><\/strong>, Iyari Limon<\/strong>, Alexis Denisof<\/strong>, James Leary<\/strong> and Amy Acker<\/strong> all gathered for a weekend of comic book convention fun.<\/p>\n

Significant missing Buffyverse faces included Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/a><\/strong>, David Boreanaz<\/a><\/strong>, Anthony Stewart Head<\/strong>, Michelle Trachtenberg<\/a><\/strong>, Eliza Dushku<\/a><\/strong> and Emma Caulfield<\/strong>. Series creator Joss Whedon<\/a><\/strong> weighed in on the big reunion on Twitter.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> ran for seven seasons\u2014Angel<\/em> for five\u2014and followed the adventures of Buffy Summers (Gellar) and her friends as they battled the forces of evil. Fox announced plans for a remake\/reboot of the show with Whedon involved alongside Monica Owusu-Breen<\/strong>, which set off a firestorm amongst the fans<\/a>. Gellar spoke out about the project following the announcement and backlash.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“At the end of the day, it’s all about great storytelling,” Gellar told People<\/a>. “If a story lives on, then I think it should be told in any incarnation it can be told in.”<\/p>\n
