Sophie Turner<\/a><\/strong> is looking for answers in the new Dark Phoenix<\/em> trailer.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old actress stars as Jean Grey in upcoming X-Men<\/em> installment, slated to hit theaters in June. In the movie,\u00a0Jean is hit by a mysterious cosmic force during a rescue mission in space, almost killing her. When she makes it home, the force begins to change Jean, making her powerful yet unstable. As a result, the X-Men must come together to try to save Jean, as well as save the planet.<\/p>\n

James McAvoy<\/a><\/strong>, Michael Fassbender<\/a><\/strong>, Jennifer Lawrence<\/a><\/strong>, Nicholas Hoult<\/a><\/strong>, Tye Sheridan<\/strong>, Alexandra Shipp<\/strong>, Kodi Smit-McPhee<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Evan Peters<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0are all back in their roles in Dark Phoenix<\/em>, with Jessica Chastain<\/a><\/strong> joining the cast.<\/p>\n

The new trailer aired during Wednesday night’s episode of\u00a0The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em>. Chastain appeared on the night show and discussed the highly anticipated film as well as a stressful time they were both on the jumbotron at Madison Square Garden during a New York Rangers hockey game.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Other than X-Men<\/em>, Chastain is also starring in\u00a0It: Chapter Two<\/em>, which comes out in September.<\/p>\n

“I’ve always wanted to do every genre,” she told Jimmy Fallon<\/a><\/strong> about her desire to be in\u00a0<\/a>Dark Phoenix<\/a>.<\/em> “I wanted to be a character that got to wear cool clothes and have special powers.”<\/p>\n

She was “excited” that both the protagonist and antagonist are females. “It’s pretty cool,” she said enthusiastically.<\/p>\n

Chastain dropped one major\u00a0potential\u00a0<\/em>spoiler alert that she maybe, perhaps kills one of the X-Men?<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

In the trailer, Chastain’s character urges Turner’s Jean Grey to harness her powers for herself and not take directions from “a guy sitting in a chair” a.k.a. James McAvoy<\/strong>‘s Professor Charles Xavier.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, 20th Century Fox released a new poster for the film, showing the cast ready for battle. Watch the trailer above!<\/p>\n
