Aside from Miss World 2000, movie and TV star, author, producer and\u00a0Nick Jonas<\/a><\/strong>‘ wife,\u00a0Priyanka Chopra<\/a><\/strong> can add “trailblazer” to her already impressive r\u00e9sum\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Forbes India<\/em>\u00a0featured the 36-year-old in their W-Power Trailblazers issue<\/a>, which “celebrates women who have bent norms, fought stereotypes and cemented their space in male-dominated fields.”<\/p>\n

Chopra recently started venturing into business and entrepreneurship, especially with the dating app Bumble, launching her into the influential and booming sphere of tech and Silicon Valley. The\u00a0Quantico<\/em> star became the app’s brand ambassador in India and plays a central role in many of its ads.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Forbes<\/em>,<\/a> she invested in the Holberton School of Software Engineering<\/a>, where singer Ne-Yo<\/a><\/strong> has also been a prominent voice and investor.\u00a0She’s hoping to inspire more women to apply to the school and become coders and software engineers.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Holberton’s co-founder\u00a0Sylvain Kalache<\/strong> called Chopra a “terrific partner” in the venture.<\/p>\n

Karlie Kloss<\/a><\/strong> is another big name who has used her celebrity status to invest in tech companies and encourage females to join the STEM fields.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Chopra told the magazine a bit why Bumble, Holberton and her other investments resonate with her. “I’m a big fan of technology, of new ideas,” she said.<\/p>\n

As for Bumble,\u00a0the\u00a0Isn’t It Romantic<\/em> star said she loved the empowerment aspect of it, where women have to message men first in the app after matching. “Bumble is an accessory for Indian women who want to have a say, or a choice, in their lives,” she said. “Most of them don’t have a choice in the matter. This was one of those breakthrough things that I thought can have potential in India.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

She explained she was a “believer more than anything else” in the app and wished she had something like Bumble when she “first moved to Mumbai.”<\/p>\n

As if her investments and other entrepreneurial undertakings aren’t enough, she someone still finds time to\u00a0attend Oscars after-parties<\/a>, star in\u00a0Jonas Brothers<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0music videos (and\u00a0look super glam<\/a>\u00a0doing it), have\u00a0date nights\u00a0<\/a>with her hubby Nick and\u00a0spend time with her family<\/a>\u00a0and loved ones.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

In February, she appeared on\u00a0The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em> and divulged the meaningful reason why she took Nick’s last name<\/a>. She told Jimmy Fallon<\/a><\/strong>, “I always wanted to add his name to mine because I feel like we’re becoming family. I’m a little traditional and old school like that.”<\/p>\n
