Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a><\/strong> was on hand to celebrate her ex-husband Chris Martin<\/a><\/strong>‘s 42nd birthday at a party this weekend.<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old Oscar-winning actress and\u00a0the Coldplay<\/a><\/strong> frontman were joined by a slew of other stars at the bash, which took place at his home in Malibu on Saturday afternoon. Paltrow posted on her Instagram<\/a> page a selfie of the two.<\/p>\n

“Happy Birthday CAJM,” she wrote.\u00a0“This is a special one. We love you so much. #42.”<\/p>\n

Celebrity guests at the party included\u00a0Melanie Griffith<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Julia Roberts<\/a><\/strong>, and\u00a0Sean Penn<\/a><\/strong>. All three were photographed arriving and Roberts and Penn walked in together.\u00a0\u00a0Griffith’s daughter\u00a0Dakota Johnson<\/a><\/strong>, who began dating Martin, was not spotted in public, nor was Paltrow’s husband, Brad Falchuk<\/strong>. However, Johnson’s car was seen\u00a0parked outside the house.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“It was a very laid back vibe with friends and neighbors dropping by in the afternoon,” the source said. “Some people walked over in the rain and nobody seemed to care. They had a mariachi band and a taco cart.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“Chris was in a great mood,” the insider added. “He was bouncing around and very energetic.”<\/p>\n

Shameless<\/em> actor\u00a0Jeremy Allen White<\/strong> was also photographed arriving at the bash, carrying a baby carrier. His girlfriend\u00a0Addison Timlin<\/strong> gave birth to their first child, a baby girl, in October. Johnson is her godmother<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Paltrow and Martin, who share two children, famously “consciously uncoupled<\/a>” in 2014 after\u00a0more than 10 years of marriage. They finalized their divorce in 2016<\/a>. Paltrow, who\u00a0remarried<\/a>\u00a0in September, and Martin have remained friends since their split.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Falchuk celebrated his 48th birthday on Friday, a day before Martin. Paltrow also paid tribute to her husband, who has two kids from a previous marriage, on his special day, with a selfie of the two.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
