How\u00a0you<\/em> doin,’ Wendy?<\/p>\n

After two months without its titular host<\/a>, Wendy Williams<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0made her highly anticipated return to her daytime talk show on Monday. There was no shortage of applause from her enthusiastic audience as the Hollywood hot topics maven stepped out onto her stage, donning a black zip-up and skirt ensemble with sneakers and a blond bob hairstyle.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The host was visibly emotional as she greeted her audience, taking a few deep breaths and fighting back tears as she clenched her hands together. After attendees cheered her on, Williams took a seat because, as she acknowledged, “apparently I’m a hot topic!”<\/p>\n

“Thank you, I missed you, too Look, honestly, I didn’t know\u00a0what to expect when I hit the\u00a0block today.\u00a0I didn’t know whether you would\u00a0wait for me, whether you would\u00a0understand.\u00a0I had no idea what to expect.\u00a0Thank you so much for waiting\u00a0for us,” she told viewers graciously.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Williams then addressed her absence by chronicling her medical issues. “What had happened was we were\u00a0supposed to only be off for two\u00a0weeks for Christmas vacation and towards the end of the weeks, I\u00a0started to feel thyroid-ish.\u00a0They’re still adjusting my meds.\u00a0If you don’t know about thyroid\u00a0disease, it’s a lifetime thing\u00a0and they are always adjusting\u00a0and always doing stuff and it can really screw you over.\u00a0They are adjusting my thyroid\u00a0meds, and then the eyeballs\u00a0attached to the thyroid, which\u00a0is my Graves’ disease,” she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I always have equilibrium\u00a0thing with my vertigo and a\u00a0million other things.\u00a0And I’m the kind of patient\u2014if I cough, I’m thinking I’m\u00a0dying. I’ve gotten to that point.\u00a0I love\u2014I can’t even tell you\u00a0how many doctors I have, but I want to shout out to each and\u00a0every one of you.\u00a0Thank you so much.\u00a0They push me in there, I get the MRIs and then I get the CAT scans and then they\u00a0get me running on the treadmill\u00a0and they’re doing my\u00a0blood pressure at the same time\u00a0as my phone is calling from\u00a0people on the show.”<\/p>\n

Ultimately, “I’m happy to tell you that I am\u00a0doing swell,” she concluded, noting that she’s meditating, taking her medication and exercising for two hours a day, seven days a week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Believe me you.\u00a0I don’t know how this outfit is\u00a0reading on TV, but mother has\u00a0not gained a pound,” the candid star noted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

She also explained that she was spending time with her family and wanted to take some time for herself.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Further into the show, Williams also addressed the ongoing rumors about her husband, Kevin Hunter<\/strong>,\u00a0and the state of their marriage as claims of him cheating have swirled.<\/p>\n

“I want to shout out to my husband. I’m still wearing my ring,” she pointed out. “Believe me you, when you’ve been with somebody for 28 years…married for 25 years…we know each other. He’s my best friend, he’s my lover, he’s all this and he’s all that. I know what you’ve been seeing and I know what the streets have been talking about.”<\/p>\n

She then pulled up a throwback photo of them together “before any plastic surgery.” “Let me show you who I fell in love with and who he fell in love with,” she continued. While Williams looked differently from the woman in the photo, “it’s still me in the head and I am still very much in love with my husband,” the star told viewers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Ultimately, she put the rumors to rest with one final declaration.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Anybody who’s been married for 5 minutes or 500 years, you know marriages have ebbs and flows. Marriages are not easy. Don’t ask me about mine until you see this [ring] gone and it ain’t going anywhere\u2014not in this lifetime.”<\/p>\n

As for her return to the show, “I’m sorry it took me almost 40 or 50\u00a0days.\u00a0I know it’s been a long time.\u00a0I’m sorry!\u00a0I have to say, it’s not going to\u00a0happen anymore and I feel good.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
