In a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/03\/06\/business\/gwyneth-paltrow-goop-corner-office.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">interview<\/a> with the&nbsp;<em>New York Times<\/em>, the Goop CEO is claiming that her 2015 gluten-free cookbook was the the catalyst for the diet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Like any person with an entrepreneurial spirit could attest, her &#8220;incendiary&#8221; practices initially faced harsh criticism, but soon enough the gluten-free lifestyle took off. &#8220;The press was super negative and there were personal attacks about what I was feeding my children and what kind of mother I am,&#8221; she explains. &#8220;Now the gluten-free market is huge.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This cycle of judgment and subsequent popularization of Paltrow&#8217;s beliefs seems to be a common theme in her company, Goop.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"57.405405405405\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"9.5675675675676\">\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<em>Shakespeare In Love<\/em> star, she experienced the same exact thing when she took up&nbsp;the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/993016\/gwyneth-paltrow-boldly-claims-she-popularized-yoga-through-goop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">practice of yoga<\/a>, which has been around for centuries. History of yoga aside, the star said she was ridiculed for her beliefs and called a &#8220;witch&#8221; by the naysayers.
