I was fired,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about Holofcener&#8217;s reasoning for the termination, Moore replied, &#8220;I think she didn&#8217;t like what I was doing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We had just been kind of rehearsing and doing pre-production and stuff, and I think that her idea of where the character was was different than my idea of [where] the character was,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And so, she fired me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Moore then admitted she hadn&#8217;t seen the movie yet because &#8220;it&#8217;s still kind of painful.&#8221; However, she&nbsp;indicated she had no bad blood with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/melissa_mccarthy\">Melissa McCarthy<\/a><\/strong>, who starred in the film and received an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1014844\/oscars-2019-winners-the-complete-list\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oscar nomination for her role.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I love Melissa McCarthy. I worship her. I think she&#8217;s fantastic,&#8221; she said. &#8220;So, I&#8217;m sure she&#8217;s great.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"55.863138686131\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"10.156934306569\">\n<p>After fellow guest <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/diane_von_furstenberg\">Diane Von Furstenberg<\/a><\/strong> asked her how it felt to be fired, Moore acknowledged &#8220;it&#8217;s pretty bad.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The only other time I was fired was when I was working at a yogurt stand when I was 15,&#8221; she said. &#8220;So yeah, it felt bad.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Watch the video to see her interview<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-4\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"54.998942917548\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"11.625792811839\">\n<p><em>Can You Ever Forgive Me?<\/em> was up for three Academy Awards. Not only was McCarthy nominated for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/967190\/why-melissa-mccarthy-just-had-to-star-in-can-you-ever-forgive-me\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Best Actress in a Leading Role<\/a> but <strong>Richard E. Grant<\/strong> was also up for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. In addition, the movie received a nod for Best Adapted Screenplay.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Moore has been recognized by The Academy, as well.
