The project has&nbsp;stirred controversy, drawn mixed reactions and has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1009870\/michael-jackson-s-brother-jermaine-defends-him-over-leaving-neverland-claims\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">denounced by the singer&#8217;s family<\/a>.&nbsp;Since its release,&nbsp;several companies have taken steps to distance themselves from Jackson, the most famous pop star of all time.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/starbucks\">Starbucks<\/a><\/strong>&#8220;@Starbucks Why are you still playing Michael Jackson in your stores?&#8221; a fan asked the coffee shop chain on Twitter on Wednesday, March 13.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thank you for making us aware,&#8221; the brand replied in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Starbucks\/status\/1106292399930634243\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tweet<\/a>. &#8220;We can confirm there are currently no Michael Jackson songs on official Starbucks Spotify Playlists. Would you mind sharing the store location so we can follow-up?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"51.111475409836\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"7.7311475409836\">\n<p>Starbucks isn&#8217;t the only company that has stopped playing Jackson&#8217;s music.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Radio Stations:<\/strong> Several&nbsp;radio stations in Canada and New Zealand, have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1021383\/michael-jackson-s-music-dropped-from-radio-stations-following-finding-neverland-premiere\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">banned Jackson&#8217;s songs from their playlists<\/a> in the wake of the allegations&nbsp;made in the documentary.<\/p>\n<p>However, streams of Jackson&#8217;s music have remained steady.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-4\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"71.417666303162\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"36.673936750273\">\n<p><strong>Louis Vuitton:<\/strong> The fashion brand has also distanced itself from Jackson in wake of the allegations. In a statement to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/fashion-news\/fashion-scoops\/louis-vuitton-addresses-michael-jackson-controversey-1203084577\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WWD<\/a>, the company&nbsp;said&nbsp;that the documentary has caused the fashion house &#8220;the greatest pain,&#8221; adding that the company was &#8220;unaware&#8221; of&nbsp;it at the time of the&nbsp;fall 2019 menswear fashion show, which&nbsp;took place week before&nbsp;<em>Leaving Neverland<\/em> premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. The collection&nbsp;drew inspiration from Jackson&#8217;s pop culture legacy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We find the allegations in the documentary deeply troubling and disturbing,&#8221; <strong>Michael Burke<\/strong>, Louis Vuitton&#8217;s chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/fashion-news\/fashion-scoops\/louis-vuitton-addresses-michael-jackson-controversey-1203084577\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WWD<\/a>. &#8220;Child safety and welfare is of utmost importance to Louis Vuitton. We are fully committed to advocating this cause.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Simpsons<\/em>:&nbsp;<\/strong>Following the release of <em>Leaving Neverland<\/em>,&nbsp;the producers of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1021839\/the-simpsons-pulls-michael-jackson-episode-after-leaving-neverland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Simpsons<\/em>&nbsp;pulled an iconic 1991 episode<\/a>&nbsp;featuring Jackson&#8217;s voice&nbsp;from all official online streams and TV feeds.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Los Angeles Lakers:&nbsp;<\/strong>ESPN&#8217;s Lakers correspondent <strong>Dave McMenamin<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mcten\/status\/1104589099153842188\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tweeted<\/a>&nbsp;on March 9 that since&nbsp;<em>Leaving Neverland<\/em>&nbsp;aired, the team&#8217;s &#8220;Air Band Cam&#8221; has featured&nbsp;<strong>Chuck Berry<\/strong>&#8216;s &#8220;Johnny B. Goode&#8221; and <strong>Nirvana<\/strong>&#8216;s &#8220;Smells Like Teen Spirit&#8221; instead of a song it used for a while\u2014Jackson&#8217;s &#8220;Beat It.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/drake\">Drake<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;During his 2018 U.S. tour, the rapper&nbsp;performed his track &#8220;Don&#8217;t Matter to Me,&#8221; which features vocals Jackson recorded in 1983. Drake began a new tour in Europe a week after&nbsp;<em>Leaving Neverland<\/em> aired and amid growing controversy about it.
