Ramona Singer<\/a><\/strong> is sending a heartfelt apology to Bethenny Frankel<\/a><\/strong> after making “thoughtless comments” about the 48-year-old star’s late boyfriend<\/a> Dennis Shields<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ahead of tonight’s Real Housewives of New York<\/em> episode, the 62-year-old reality TV personality feels deep regret and remorse for saying Shields “was on drugs” before he passed away<\/a> of an apparent drug overdose<\/a> last August.<\/p>\n

In the trailer for the latest season of the reality series, Singer is captured telling the other cast members, “How smart can Dennis be? I mean, he was on drugs.” According to People<\/em><\/a>, this scene was filmed three weeks prior to Shields’ death.<\/p>\n

Now, Ramona is feeling profoundly sorry and regretful of what she said.<\/p>\n

“I cringed when I saw what I said about Dennis in tonight’s episode,” the RHONY<\/em> star writes on her Instagram Story<\/a>. “It definitely wasn’t one of my finer moments.”<\/p>\n

Adding, “I respected and liked him very much and I sincerely apologize to his family and Bethenny for my thoughtless comments.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Ramona’s sincere apology comes seven months after Dennis’ passing at the age of 51.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Earlier this week, the Skinny Girl founder took to Twitter<\/a> to explain the “tricky business” of mourning<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“It’s like the weather,” the 48-year-old reality TV personality wrote. “There can be weeks & weeks of sunshine then one day you get whacked with a storm.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

At the time of her boyfriend’s loss, Frankel tweeted<\/a>, “It’s hard to breathe & I appreciate you giving me the space & support to try to do so. It’s excruciating-sudden death is no closure & constant ?s & memories. Our relationship is current so it’s painfully raw. Trying to stay healthy & move through it w tears & close friends.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
