Has the queen’s reign come to an end?<\/p>\n

Nicki Minaj<\/a><\/strong> took to Twitter on Thursday to share an important announcement with her fans.<\/p>\n

“I’ve decided to retire and have my family,” she tweeted. “I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box\u2014cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE.”<\/p>\n

The tweet certainly surprised her followers, and many wondered if the rapper was pulling a prank. <\/p>\n

“Nicki stop this ain’t funny,” one commenter wrote. “I’m not prepared for this [right now].”<\/p>\n

“Please say sike,” added another.<\/p>\n

Others questioned if a fifth album would ever see the light of day.<\/p>\n

“@NICKIMINAJ WE NEED NM5<\/em>,” a follower tweeted. <\/p>\n

Still, many pledged to support the star no matter what. <\/p>\n

“Whatever decision you make, we want you to be happy,” a social media user claimed.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

It certainly has been a summer of speculation for Minaj. Last month, the “Super Bass” star changed her Twitter name<\/a> to “Mrs. Petty”\u2014leading many to wonder if she had tied the knot with Kenneth<\/strong> Petty<\/strong>. These rumors were fueled by the fact that the 36-year-old artist had already called Petty her husband<\/a> for months. A source also told E! News the two got a marriage license<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What’s more, the “Anaconda” artist sparked pregnancy rumors<\/a> in June after she enjoyed a Red Lobster dinner date with Jimmy Fallon<\/a><\/strong> for an episode of The Tonight Show<\/em>. After the clip aired, she made it clear that “no alcohol was consumed in the making of our dinner date.” However, Minaj never addressed the rumors. Back in January, she also tweeted<\/a> that she had already discussed baby names with her beau.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
