Now that Pete Davidson<\/a><\/strong> is a movie star, is he too famous for SNL<\/em>?<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old actor and comedian, who has been a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series since 2014, was noticeably missing from the season 45 opener on Saturday. Turns out he was at a screening of Joker<\/em> in Atlanta with his co-stars from the new movie The Suicide Squad<\/em>, according to Entertainment Tonight<\/a><\/em>. The group has been filming their movie in the city in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Director James Gunn<\/strong> posted on his Instagram page a photo of Davidson and other Suicide Squad<\/em> stars such as Margot Robbie<\/a><\/strong>, Jai Courtney<\/a><\/strong> and Nathan Fillion<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Many of us are doing weird things in this photo,” Gunn wrote<\/a>. “After a screening of Joker (thanks @wbpictures!)”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

During the SNL<\/em> premiere, Alec Baldwin<\/a><\/strong> reprised his role of President Donald Trump<\/a><\/strong> and the show’s cold open mocked the U.S. leader’s upcoming impeachment inquiry.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

In another sketch, SNL<\/em> alum Maya Rudolph<\/a><\/strong> played Democratic presidential candidate Senator Kamala Harris<\/strong> and Larry Sanders<\/strong> returned to portray fellow contender Senator Bernie Sanders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
