And then the 10th anniversary of the <em>Breaking Bad<\/em> premiere happened and Gilligan, the show&#8217;s creator, got the itch. That brings us to <em>El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Honestly, that&#8217;s the big reason I wanted to do this movie, I wanted to work with Aaron again,&#8221; Gilligan told E! News&#8217; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/will_marfuggi\">Will Marfuggi<\/a><\/strong>, noting he had the idea to do El Camino about a year and a half ago and was further encouraged by the show&#8217;s premiere anniversary. &#8220;That lit a fire under me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"54.912547528517\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"5.680608365019\">\n<p><em>Breaking Bad<\/em> ended its five-season run with Jesse Pinkman saved from captivity (and meth-making) by Walter White (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/bryan_cranston\">Bryan Cranston<\/a><\/strong>), his dying former partner in crime. What happened after Jesse drove off into the sunset? Well, what&#8217;s the opposite of a happy ending?<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-3\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"61.5\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"13\">\n<p>&#8220;I thought I said goodbye to this world six years ago, but here we are, and I could not be more excited,&#8221; Paul said.
