They can’t get enough of each other! <\/p>\n

Katharine McPhee<\/strong> and David Foster<\/strong> stopped by Today<\/em> <\/a>to chat with Hoda Kotb<\/a><\/strong> about their musical endeavors, but the two also couldn’t help but gush about their love for each other. The couple married earlier this year<\/a> in a beautiful summer wedding, but it turns out they were friends for more than a decade prior to tying the knot<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“We met on American Idol<\/em> when I was a contestant and he was a mentor with Andrea Bocelli<\/strong>,” Katharine shared. “I have always just admired him and loved him and he’s always been so great to people around him. He can be intimidating when he really needs to be for his work, but he’s really lovely.”<\/p>\n

Awww! But the love fest didn’t stop there. Hoda asked David to spill the beans on why he first fell for Katharine<\/a>. “Her singing, first of all,” he shared about his wife. “I mean where do I start the inner beauty, the outer beauty, and we have been friends for 14 years, and it was just kind of a natural coming together.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Marrying Katharine was definitely one of the best decisions of his life<\/a>, but when it comes to his career, he’s had a slightly rockier road at points. The legendary producer, who has 16 Grammy’s, told Hoda about one of the biggest regrets of his musical career. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Many years ago Celine Dion<\/strong> asked him to produce her now iconic hit “My Heart Will Go On,” and David decided to pass. “”I said, ‘I don’t like the song, I don’t want to do it’\u2026I don’t know why\u2026I couldn’t have made a bigger mistake,” he revealed. <\/p>\n
