Forget the gym, it’s time to get on that Dancing With the Stars<\/em> fitness plan! <\/p>\n

The former Dawson’s Creek<\/em> alum and most recently DWTS<\/em> contestant, James Van Der Beek<\/a><\/strong> took to Instagram to show off an incredible transformation after dancing his butt for the dance competition.<\/p>\n

James posted a side by side shirtless selfie showing off his new physique, writing: “Fight training vs. dancing… I’d been training in Muay Thai three days a week for about six months (for the next project I’m writing) when I hit pause to dance six hours a day. Now I can rhumba.” <\/p>\n

James made it to the DWTS<\/em> semifinals before being sent home just before this week’s season 28 finale\u2014Bachelorette <\/em>star Hannah Brown<\/a><\/strong> took the mirror ball trophy earlier this week. <\/p>\n

While James didn’t take home the trophy, he still got some abs to show. <\/p>\n

In the pictures James shared on Instagram, he looks fit in both if you ask us\u2014but in the second photo on the left, the Dawson’s Creek<\/em> star definitely looked a more defined and toned. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

And James hasn’t been the only one to show off his major transformation after being on DWTS.<\/em><\/p>\n

Other stars like Ally Brooke<\/a><\/strong>, Lauren Alaina<\/strong>, Sasha Pieterse<\/a><\/strong>, Drew Scott<\/strong>, Jennie Garth<\/a><\/strong>, Amber Rose<\/a><\/strong>, Kelly Osbourne<\/a><\/strong> and many others have lost as much as over 40 pounds from being on the show.  <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
