But who has the time to sit there and listen to everything before updating their playlists? There&#8217;s just too much good stuff! (And, if we&#8217;re being honest, usually a few stinkers, too.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As it turns out, we do. Welcome to&nbsp;The MixtapE!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>By now, you&#8217;ve probably gotten lost in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/harry_styles\">Harry Styles<\/a><\/strong>&#8216; sublime sophomore studio album <em>Fine Line<\/em>\u2014including the <strong>Camille Rowe<\/strong>-featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1102514\/harry-styles-addresses-camille-rowe-breakup-and-plays-her-voicemail-in-cherry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">breakup track<\/a> &#8220;Cherry&#8221;\u2014and wondered, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1102507\/watch-ellen-degeneres-encourage-blake-shelton-to-propose-to-gwen-stefani\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">like Ellen DeGeneres<\/a>, just why <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/blake_shelton\">Blake Shelton<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/gwen_stefani\">Gwen Stefani<\/a><\/strong> aren&#8217;t engaged yet as you checked out their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1102467\/hear-blake-shelton-and-gwen-stefani-profess-their-undying-love-in-new-song-nobody-but-you\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">swoon-worthy new duet<\/a> &#8220;Nobody But You,&#8221; but trust us when we tell you that they are just the tip of the iceberg. The year may be winding down, but the fresh releases just keep on coming and we&#8217;ve listened to (nearly) everything. In what is the last regular edition of The MixtapE! in 2019\u2014look out for special Christmas and Year-in-Review editions in the&nbsp;coming days!\u2014we present our picks for the best of this week&#8217;s best. You can thank us later.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-3\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"60.847497639282\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"14.603399433428\">\n<p><strong>Harry Styles<\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;Fine Line&#8221;\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Pi2Gy7DG75g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Treat People With Kindness&#8221;<\/a>: We&#8217;re not exaggerating when we say that, from the second we first heard &#8220;Lights Up,&#8221; our hopes for <em>Fine Line<\/em> were astronomical. And now that the album is finally here, we are pleased to report that Harry did not disappoint. The entire album is a sumptuous marvel, bespoke with a maturity and sincerity that&#8217;s just floored us. As such, we had a very difficult time picking just one song to highlight here.&nbsp;How could we choose between the stunning title track, with its&nbsp;instrumentation&nbsp;that just swallows you whole so that by the time the percussion and horns kick in around the four-minute mark, you&#8217;re completely enveloped in sound and lost in a fully-realized experience, and the audacious &#8220;Treat People With Kindness,&#8221; a gospel chorus-assisted,&nbsp;&#8217;70s-era musical theater-inspired (think <em>Hair<\/em> or<em> Jesus Christ Superstar<\/em>) track that requires real nerve to release in 2019 and ask it to be taken seriously? We couldn&#8217;t. So we didn&#8217;t. Listen to them both. Listen to it all. You won&#8217;t be disappointed.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-6\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"61\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"12\">\n<p><strong>Dua Lipa<\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;Future Nostalgia&#8221;: After Dua changed our lives with &#8220;Don&#8217;t Start Now,&#8221; the disco-kissed lead single from her highly-anticipated second studio album, we absolutely could not wait to hear what else she had up her sleeve. And honestly, we barely know where to begin when describing her latest release, the title track off the forthcoming LP. It&#8217;s a staggering confluence of sounds that lives up its title, somehow a throwback to all things &#8217;80s while also feeling like a glimpse into a thrilling future, that&#8217;s propelled into the heavens by Dua&#8217;s lyrics and delivery, both absolutely dripping with effortless and enviable swag. This album is going to be <em>everything<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-8\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"60\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"10\">\n<p><strong>Hayley Kiyoko<\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;Runaway&#8221;: Since Lesbian Jesus announced her sophomore project, <em>I&#8217;M TOO SENSITIVE FOR THIS S&#8211;T<\/em>, she&#8217;s released one standout track after the next. And her streak remains unbroken with her latest, this dark and brooding piece of synthpop that finds Hayley begging her lover to tell her exactly how they feel, hoping that they might be the one worth sticking around for. At this point it&#8217;s clear, there is no filler to be had on this project. None.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-10\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"57.930051813472\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"7.8549222797927\">\n<p><strong>Blake Shelton<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Gwen Stefani<\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;Nobody But You&#8221;: Blake teased this collab with his lady, off his just-released new album <em>Fully Loaded: God&#8217;s Country<\/em>, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1099613\/blake-shelton-s-new-song-with-gwen-stefani-promises-to-be-pure-magic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;magic&#8221;<\/a> and you know what? He was not exaggerating. The professions of undying love on this mid-tempo country strummer are so damn romantic, you can expect to hear this played at every rustic-themed wedding from here unto eternity.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-13\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"62.70197486535\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"16.786355475763\">\n<p><strong>Kaytranada<\/strong> feat. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/tinashe\">Tinashe<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;The Worst In Me&#8221;:&nbsp;<em>Bubba<\/em>, the Canadian&#8217;s producer&#8217;s second studio album, is full of star power, with features from the likes of <strong>Pharrell Williams, GoldLink, Kali Uchis<\/strong> and <strong>Estelle<\/strong>, but our favorite track on the LP is this one, featuring the &#8220;Die Little&#8221; songstress. The house-inspired R&amp;B track, which finds Tinashe lamenting the fact that she can&#8217;t break free from a lover who&#8217;s not right for her, feels so smooth and effortless, thanks, in large part, to Kaytra&#8217;s impeccable production. Perfect for some late-night listening.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-15\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"56.333333333333\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"6.7407407407407\">\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/meghan_trainor\">Meghan Trainor<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;Evil Twin&#8221;: We&#8217;re just a little over a month away from the long-awaited release of <em>Treat Myself<\/em>, Meghan&#8217;s third album on January 31, and she&#8217;s just given us yet another taste of the delayed LP in the form of this delightfully disco-influenced pop bop. Who hasn&#8217;t woken up from a wild night wishing they had an alter ego to blame all their bad decisions on?&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-17\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"59.058088235294\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"12.483823529412\">\n<p><strong>Ava Max<\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;Salt&#8221;: Ava&#8217;s had a huge year, earning herself comparisons to early <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/lady_gaga\">Lady Gaga<\/a><\/strong>\u2014and rightfully so\u2014both for her breakthrough single <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WXBHCQYxwr0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Sweet but Psycho&#8221;<\/a> and her unique hair style, dubbed the &#8220;Max Cut.&#8221; And before she closes it out with a performance on <em>Dick Clark&#8217;s New Year&#8217;s Rockin&#8217; Eve with Ryan Seacrest<\/em>, she&#8217;s officially released this track that&#8217;s been available on her YouTube page since 2018. Riding the recent trend of disco-influenced dance tracks (see: Meghan Trainor above, Dua Lipa&#8217;s &#8220;Don&#8217;t Stop Now&#8221;), she lets her ex know, in no uncertain terms, that she&#8217;s done crying over them. With any luck, this one will zoom up into the <em>Billboard<\/em> Hot 100 top 10 too.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-20\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"56.489361702128\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"7.6595744680851\">\n<p><strong>Carly Rose<\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;warned you&#8221;:&nbsp;Maybe you remember Carly from her second-place run on the second season of <em>The X Factor<\/em>\u2014aka the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/fifth_harmony\">Fifth Harmony<\/a><\/strong> season\u2014or maybe you don&#8217;t. Either way, she&#8217;s all grown up now and releasing some next-level alt-pop. The fuzzy synths in the chorus drill themselves under your skin in such a good way. &#8220;If you&#8217;re not banging your heads to this one, I did something wrong,&#8221; Carly wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CarlyRoseMusic\/status\/1204989459768365056?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a> when she shared the song.&nbsp;She can rest easy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-22\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"61.5\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"13\">\n<p><strong>Grimes<\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;4\u00c6M&#8221;: We&#8217;re the first to admit that, for us, Grimes&#8217; music is not always the most easily penetrable stuff. But this track, from her forthcoming album <em>Miss Anthropocene<\/em> as well as the video game <em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em>, in which she also voices a character, has absolutely blown our minds. Much like everything else in the otherworldly artist&#8217;s discography, there&#8217;s no way to really put into words what it&#8217;s like to listen to this song. So just take our word for it, turn it on, and give yourself over to the experience.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-24\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"58.5\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"7\">\n<p><strong>Lolo Zoua\u00ef<\/strong> \u2014 &#8220;Chain&#8221;: For the rerelease of her debut album <em>High Highs to Low Lows<\/em>, the promising alt-pop up-and-comer included this excellent new track that fans of <em>Euphoria<\/em> might recognize. Over a sparse and moody electronic production, Lolo sings in both English and French\u2014she was born in Paris to a French mother and Algerian father before the family moved to San Francisco when she was three months old\u2014about looking for proof from a lover they can be trusted. It&#8217;s a stunner.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-26\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"56.525029103609\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"17.392316647264\">\n<p><strong>Bonus Tracks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Raye<\/strong> \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=c4PCFGWJEwg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Please Don&#8217;t Touch&#8221;<\/a>: The UK-based singer gets vulnerable on this banger as she begs an ex to keep their hands to themselves unless they&#8217;re for real.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alec Benjamin<\/strong> \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Hmw2E7bKJeo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Mind Is A Prison&#8221;<\/a>: The indie pop up-and-comer scores with this ultra-relatable track about being trapped by one&#8217;s thoughts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arin Ray<\/strong> \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GFR-MwVsDy4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;The Get Down&#8221;<\/a>:&nbsp;<em>The X Factor<\/em> season two finalist delivers the funk with this standout track from his new EP, <em>Phases II<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paloma Mami<\/strong> \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QoESxD-i0AQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Mami&#8221;<\/a>: One of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1076568\/latin-pop-primer-the-15-female-artists-you-need-to-know-now?query=paloma%20mami#photo-1034900\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">our 15 female Latinx pop stars to know<\/a> is back with this slinky bilingual track that&#8217;ll keep you warm as we head into the dead of winter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>070 Shake<\/strong> \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QdSLYNppSPw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Under The Moon&#8221;<\/a>:&nbsp;Shake is one step closer to the long-awaited release of <em>MODUS VIVENDI<\/em>, her debut LP, with this excellent, atmospheric track that reminds why she&#8217;s one of the freshest voices in the game right now.<\/p>\n<p>Happy listening!<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"tune-in-27\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"35\">\n<p class=\"tune-in__text\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\">Watch the <i>2019: What E!
