Shakira <\/a><\/strong>absolutely rocked the 2020 Super Bowl<\/a><\/strong> Halftime Show last night.<\/p>\n

She and Jennifer Lopez<\/a><\/strong> lit the stage up<\/a> with a powerful performance that celebrated<\/a>, as she said in her Instagram<\/a> post following the show, “how much Latinos have to offer,” and it was one of the most entertaining halftime shows to date.<\/p>\n

The game’s attendees included a star-studded list of celebrities<\/a> like Beyonc\u00e9<\/a><\/strong>, Jay-Z <\/a><\/strong>and Blue Ivy Carter<\/a><\/strong>, Cardi B<\/a><\/strong>, Demi Lovato<\/a><\/strong> (who sang the National Anthem<\/a>), Paul Rudd<\/a><\/strong>, Emily Ratajkowski<\/a><\/strong>, Jeremy Renner<\/a><\/strong>, Miles Teller<\/a><\/strong> and of course, J.Lo’s love Alex Rodriguez<\/a><\/strong>. But Shakira’s longtime love, soccer player Gerard Piqu\u00e9<\/strong>, was absent.<\/p>\n

The couple, funnily enough, both celebrated their birthdays on Super Bowl Sunday<\/a> (the singer turned 43 and the athlete turned 33), but they unfortunately couldn’t be in Miami together because of work conflicts.<\/p>\n

Yup, Gerard couldn’t make it to football’s biggest night because he had a futbol game to play himself! The FC Barcelona player competed against Levante last night in Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadium.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

And good news, Barcelona won! So this couple\u2014who shares sons Milan Piqu\u00e9 Mebarak<\/strong>, 7, and Sasha Piqu\u00e9 Mebarak<\/strong>, 5\u2014really did slay all around yesterday. Suffice it to say they had memorable birthdays and are undoubtedly proud of each other.<\/p>\n

The Colombian singer was the first up on the Halftime Show stage<\/a>, appearing in a glittering red costume and matching boots. She breezed through some of her biggest hits, like “She Wolf” and “Hips Don’t Lie” before J.Lo came out for her turn.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

The Hustlers<\/em> star paid tribute to the film by incorporating some pole dance choreography as she performed hits like “Waiting For Tonight,” “Jenny From The Block” and “On The Floor.”<\/p>\n

J Balvin<\/a><\/strong>, Bad Bunny<\/strong> and J.Lo and Marc Anthony<\/a><\/strong>‘s daughter Emme Maribel Mu\u00f1iz<\/strong> also made appearances<\/a> before the two iconic women joined forces on stage together. Don’t worry, the undying hit “Waka Waka” was performed as well.<\/p>\n

No doubt, Gerard will be rewatching the videos from the performance all day today, just like the rest of us.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
