Vanessa Bryant<\/strong> still can’t believe her best friend is gone.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday morning, the proud mom took to Instagram to share a special photo of Kobe Bryant<\/a><\/strong>. She also couldn’t help but share a few special words about the Los Angeles Lakers basketball player who made an impact on so many.<\/p>\n

“#mybestfriend #thebestdaddy Miss you so much,” she shared on social media<\/a>. “#handsome #sweet #funny #silly #lovinghusband Miss you saying, \u2018Bonjourno principessa\/reina.'”<\/p>\n

She also asked followers to please tag the photographer who took the photo of her late husband to give credit where credit is due. Vanessa later discovered it to be USA Today<\/em> photographer Harrison Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Today’s social media post comes one week after Vanessa broke her silence <\/a>regarding the death<\/a> of her husband and daughter Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe\u2014the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna\u2014a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri,” she wrote in part<\/a>. “I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

To honor those lost in the fatal helicopter crash, Vanessa announced that the Mamba Sports Foundation set up the MambaOnThree Fund <\/a>to help support families affected by the tragedy.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

And for those hoping to further Kobe and Gianna’s legacy in youth sports, she directed followers to the Mamba Sports Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless \u2014 and that’s to say, immeasurable. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever,” Vanessa shared. “Thank you for sharing your joy, your grief and your support with us. We ask that you grant us the respect and privacy we will need to navigate this new reality.”<\/p>\n

Funeral arrangements for Kobe and Gianna have yet to be announced at this time. The Los Angeles Lakers recently payed tribute <\/a>to their former teammate during a pre-show event at the Staples Center.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
