It’s Jerry from Cheer<\/em>‘s world and we’re all just living in it.<\/p>\n

The Ellen DeGeneres Show<\/em> had Cheer<\/em> star Jerry Harris<\/strong> on the 2020 Oscars red carpet where he talked to everybody from Billie Ellish<\/strong> and Regina King<\/strong> to Kathy Bates<\/strong> and Ren\u00e9e Zellweger<\/a><\/strong> and just about everybody who stopped for him knew who he was and was more starstruck to see him than the other way around.<\/p>\n

Laura Dern<\/a><\/strong> even gave him some mat talk. Laura Dern. Gave. Jerry. Mat. Talk.<\/p>\n

“Jerry. Jerry. Jerry, this is what I want to say to you: You’ve got this! You can do this Jerry,” Dern said to the college student. “Because my daughter was giving me some mat talk as I was driving in the car. And we love you and we love your big, beautiful heart.”<\/p>\n

Dern went on to win the Oscar. Just saying.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Lin-Manuel Miranda<\/a><\/strong> freaked out. Greta Gerwig<\/strong> had a moment. “I feel like I manifested you in front of me,” Gerwig told him. Ellish and Bates tried on his Daytona championship ring. “I fell in love with you! I just saw the whole show,” Bates said bowing to the 20-year-old.<\/p>\n

Al Pacino<\/a><\/strong> told him he won an Oscar in 1993, before Jerry was born.<\/p>\n

“That’s longer than I’ve been alive,” Jerry laughed.<\/p>\n

Rebel Wilson<\/a><\/strong> and Jerry even did a cheer. Idina Menzel<\/a><\/strong> requested some mat talk for her performance of “Into the Unknown.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

It didn’t stop on the Oscars red carpet. According to The Los Angeles Times<\/em><\/a>, Jerry was the most popular person at Vanity Fair’s annual bash. <\/p>\n

Back in the talk show studio, Ellen DeGeneres<\/a><\/strong> gifted Jerry with a scrapbook from his time on the carpet, complete with photos of him interviewing many Oscar winners, and a special $10,000 gift from Shutterfly.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“For loans, for joy, everything you do,” DeGeneres told him.<\/p>\n

Jerry, for once, was speechless.<\/p>\n

Season one of Cheer<\/em> is now streaming on Netflix.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
