Miley Cyrus<\/a><\/strong> is encouraging people to be “compassionate” amid the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

With the worldwide death toll reaching 6,000 and anxiety on the rise, people across the country and the world are social distancing themselves as form of precaution. Earlier this morning, Cyrus urged whoever is preparing for social distancing to “Be thoughtful. Respectful. Compassionate. HUMAN.” <\/p>\n

As of March 15, there are currently more than 3,400 confirmed cases of the coronavirus\u2014also known as COVID-19\u2014in the United States, according to government agencies and the CDC. The U.S. death toll has risen to 63.<\/p>\n

“NO ONE needs every soup in the store, the more we hoard the more expensive and sparse necessities will become, leaving many without essentially,” Cyrus wrote on Instagram<\/a>, alongside a clip from her former Disney Channel series Hannah Montana<\/em>, referencing the many photos and videos that have made rounds on social media showing empty shelves at grocery and department stores.<\/p>\n

“This is a great time to practice restraint\u2026 it’s incredibly difficult to make smart decisions while panicking,” she said.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Cyrus concluded her Instagram post, “But think twice before following fear and being inconsiderate. There is enough to go around if we take care of one another. This is a beautiful time to LEAD!”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

On Sunday, Timberlake announced on Instagram that he is donating to the Mid-South Food Bank in Memphis, Tennessee. In February, Bieber pledged to donate $29,000 to the Beijing Chunmiao Charity Foundation\u2014a children’s charity in China\u2014to help with the COVID-19 relief efforts.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
