Happy birthday, Elle Fanning<\/a><\/strong>! <\/p>\n

The actress turned 22 years old on Thursday. To celebrate, her mother surprised her with a cake. The treat, which was created by Big Sugar Bakeshop in California, featured Strawberry Shortcake sitting on top of a pale pink dessert. It also included several strawberry designs and the words “happy 22nd birthday Elle” written in red icing. In addition, the iconic cartoon character wore a mask amid the global coronavirus pandemic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Anyone who knows me knows I loooove strawberries!” the Maleficent<\/em> star wrote alongside a picture of the cake via Instagram. “My mom surprised me with the cutest most hilarious cake all thanks to @bigsugarbakeshop! Strawberry Shortcake celebrates her birthday in style, even during a pandemic!” <\/p>\n

It’s no secret Elle is a fan of the character. She even has a picture of Strawberry Shortcake on her phone case<\/a> and has dressed up like her for Halloween.<\/p>\n

Her mom wasn’t the only one in the famous family to mark the major milestone. Her sister, Dakota Fanning<\/a><\/strong>, posted a tribute on social media, as well.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“Happy birthday to my bigger little sister,” the 26-year-old actress wrote via Instagram alongside a photo montage of the siblings. “Thank you for putting up with me when I’m annoying, for always going downstairs to grab me something when I should go grab it myself and for being the best sister anyone could ask for. I love you.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

In addition, Elle received several sweet messages from her celebrity pals.<\/p>\n

“Happy birthday you unicorn,” January Jones<\/a><\/strong> wrote in the comments section of Elle’s post.<\/p>\n

“Happy birthday, amazing woman!!” Gwendoline Christie<\/strong> added. <\/p>\n

Last year, Elle celebrated her 21st birthday with a karaoke party<\/a> hosted by her sister and friends. <\/p>\n

“I threw up a lot,” she recalled during a Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em> interview, “in the Uber on the ride home. ” <\/p>\n
