During his speech, William took a moment to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1138148\/ally-brooke-and-more-stars-give-thanks-to-health-care-workers-on-world-health-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">thank staffers for their hard work<\/a> in getting the emergency COVID-19 hospital, which will help those in the area&nbsp;that have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/ap\/photos\/30564\/stars-with-coronavirus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diagnosed with&nbsp;the coronavirus<\/a>, up and running in just 8 days.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The building you are standing in is yet another example of how people across the country have risen to this unprecedented challenge,&#8221; he said. &#8220;The Nightingale hospitals will rightly go down as landmarks in the history of the NHS.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While practicing social distancing, William has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1135535\/prince-william-and-kate-middleton-share-the-importance-of-mental-health-care-amid-covid-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">virtually connecting<\/a> with various charities to ensure that those affected by the pandemic are receiving&nbsp;essential resources during this challenging time.&nbsp;Earlier this week, the dad of three chatted with a local farmer that teamed up with the Duke&#8217;s National Emergency Trust to provide families in need with food.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"61.559224318658\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"25.686582809224\">\n<p>To raise spirits ahead of the Easter holiday, William and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/kate_middleton\">Kate Middleton<\/a><\/strong> had a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1138795\/kate-middleton-and-prince-william-surprise-students-and-teachers-in-heartfelt-video-call\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">surprise video call<\/a>&nbsp;with the staff and students of Place2Be. As the couple thanked the teachers for their hard work, the festively dressed students excitedly displayed their gifts to them, which were handmade portraits of William and Kate.<\/p>\n<p>The Duke and Duchess even recruited their children <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/prince_george\">Prince George<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;6, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/princess_charlotte\">Princess Charlotte<\/a><\/strong> 4, and<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/prince_louis\"> Prince Louis<\/a><\/strong>, 23 months, to help them <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1134928\/prince-george-princess-charlotte-and-prince-louis-clap-for-healthcare-workers-fighting-coronavirus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pay tribute to healthcare workers<\/a> fighting on the front lines of the outbreak.
