The Baby-Sitters Club<\/em> is back in action. The first look at the new 10-episode series from GLOW<\/em>‘s Rachel Shukert<\/strong> and Broad City<\/em>‘s Lucia Aniello<\/strong> is a blast from the past with that see-through phone all your friends had growing up.<\/p>\n

Based on Ann M. Martin<\/strong>‘s book series of the same name, Martin also serves as a producer on the series, The Baby-Sitters Club<\/em> follows the friendship and adventures of middle-schoolers Kristy Thomas (Sophie Grace<\/strong>), Mary Anne Spier (Malia Baker<\/strong>), Claudia Kishi (Momona Tamada<\/strong>), Stacey McGill (Shay Rudolph<\/strong>) and Dawn Schafer (Xochitl Gomez<\/strong>) as they get their babysitting business up and running in Stoneybrook, Connecticut. Alicia Silverstone<\/a><\/strong> plays Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, the single mom of Kristy, and Mark Feuerstein<\/strong> as Watson Brewer.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Executive producers include Shukert, Aniello, Lucy Kitada<\/strong>, Michael De Luca<\/strong>, Frank Smith<\/strong> and Naia Cucukov<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A movie version of The Baby-Sitters Club<\/em> came out in 1995 starring starred Schuyler Fisk<\/strong>, Rachel Leigh Cook<\/strong>, Larisa Oleynik<\/strong>. A TV adaptation aired in 1990 on HBO and lasted just one season. There are more than 200 Baby-Sitters Club<\/em> books licensed in over 20 territories and more than 180 million copies sold.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
