It certainly was the case Tuesday night when <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/anne_hathaway\">Anne Hathaway<\/a><\/strong> honored the movie&#8217;s director <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/garry_marshall\">Garry Marshall<\/a><\/strong> in an ABC special.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One of the things that I love about Garry is that he was never afraid of&nbsp;the spontaneous moment,&#8221; Anne&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1151288\/anne-hathaway-reveals-this-iconic-princess-diaries-moment-wasn-t-in-the-script\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shared in<\/a> <em>The Happy Days Of Garry Marshall<\/em>. &#8220;If it was good, it was in the movie. He didn&#8217;t care where it came from, he didn&#8217;t care what happened.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Anne went on to describe a scene with Lilly Moscovitz (<strong>Heather Matarazzo<\/strong>) that didn&#8217;t exactly follow the script.
