Sharing a video of NFL star <strong>Emmanuel Acho<\/strong> explaining the history of the racial slur, Brown <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1152903\/hannah-brown-breaks-her-silence-after-receiving-backlash-for-saying-the-n-word\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">apologized once again<\/a> for her error in judgement and sought to educate her fanbase.<\/p>\n<p>Quoting Acho, she wrote, &#8220;&#8216;You can&#8217;t, shouldn&#8217;t, nor should you have the desire to say that word\u2026that word is truly synonymous with hatred.'&#8221; Adding her own remarks, she shared, &#8220;I wholeheartedly take accountability for the disappointment and pain I caused by saying this word and while I know I can&#8217;t take it back, I can listen, learn, and take action to continue the dialogue and be apart of this historical and necessary change.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Brown continued, &#8220;It is SO important to me to tell y&#8217;all that there is no defending what I said, and I hope this video helps you understand why you should not defend me either. #BlackLivesMatter #AmplifyMelanatedVoices.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"58.781947261663\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"10.687626774848\">\n<p>Back in May, the <em>Bachelor<\/em> alum <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1152905\/hannah-brown-is-facing-backlash-after-posting-a-video-of-herself-saying-the-n-word\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">faced backlash<\/a> after saying the N-word during an Instagram Live while reciting the lyrics to <strong>DaBaby<\/strong>&#8216;s song &#8220;Rockstar.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Regretting her&nbsp;actions, she issued a statement on her Stories: &#8220;I owe you all a major apology. There is no excuse and I will not justify what I said. I have read your messages and seen the hurt I have caused. I own it all. I am terribly sorry and know that whether in public or private, this language is unacceptable. I promise to do better.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-4\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"56.932011331445\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"14.458923512748\">\n<p>Later, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/rachel_lindsay\">Rachel Lindsay<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;the first and only black person to lead the ABC franchise,&nbsp;slammed Brown for her actions and told fans that she had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1155587\/rachel-lindsay-breaks-down-the-conversation-she-had-with-hannah-brown-regarding-the-n-word\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reached out to Brown directly<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have to hold people accountable for what they&#8217;re doing,&#8221; Lindsay <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1152936\/bachelorette-s-rachel-lindsay-directly-spoke-to-hannah-brown-about-saying-the-n-word\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said in an Instagram Live<\/a>. &#8220;And I am so disheartened and upset by the people who are now in my comments, the people who are in my DM&#8217;s to take it easy&#8230;those are the same people who don&#8217;t look like me, who aren&#8217;t personally offended by that word, you should feel disgusted when you say that word. You should feel uncomfortable&#8230;That word has so much weight and history behind it. If you don&#8217;t know, please do yourself a favor and educate yourself on that word.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"video-int-txt-5\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"36.489743589744\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-video-text\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"15.364102564103\">\n<p>In the wake of <strong>George Floyd<\/strong>&#8216;s death, Brown has since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1157548\/hannah-brown-vows-to-be-part-of-the-solution-after-n-word-controversy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vowed to &#8220;part of the solution&#8221;<\/a> in the fight for&nbsp;racial justice. &#8220;I know a lot of you are disappointed in me and trust me, I&#8217;ve been very disappointed in myself,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I know these words don&#8217;t fix anything. My granddaddy always used to say, \u2018Sorry doesn&#8217;t fix it.&#8217; And sorry doesn&#8217;t fix it, but I promise when you learn the things that you didn&#8217;t know before&#8230;it changes your heart and your convictions like never before and I promise you, I will not be a part of the problem anymore.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I will be part of the solution,&#8221; Brown continued. &#8220;And you will see that. So from the bottom of my heart. I&#8217;m so sorry. I&#8217;m sorry to everyone that I hurt and that I disappointed. And I promise to continue doing better.
