Sort of.<\/p>\n<p>In the series finale of <em>13 Reasons Why<\/em>, Clay (<strong>Dylan Minnette<\/strong>) meets a young woman, Heidi, who is also heading to Brown. After seeing him speak at graduation, Heidi, who went to a different high school, asked him out for coffee to get to know each other before starting college. So, Clay gives her his email, a Gmail account.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a working email address, as of the final season&#8217;s premiere date, Friday, June 5. A test email congratulating the character on his college admission and inquiring about his many conversations with ghosts throughout the series was sent Friday afternoon. A response came back several hours later.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"photo-txt-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"43\">\n<div class=\"column post-content__image--left post-content__image\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image--full\" src=\"https:\/\/akns-images.eonline.com\/eol_images\/Entire_Site\/202058\/rs_634x1024-200608062701-634-13-reasons-why-email.jpg?fit=inside|900:auto&amp;output-quality=90\" title=\"13 Reasons Why Email\" alt=\"13 Reasons Why Email\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"image__credits\">E! News<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-photo-text\" readability=\"26\">\n<p>Whoever is running the account wrote a specific response, no general auto reply came through:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hey Chris!<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for writing.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, first, I just want to be clear (again) on this. I don&#8217;t actually SEE ghosts. I just imagine people who died, and what I would want to say to them. I mean, I&#8217;m suspecting you know that, but I get that question a lot, so I will answer it honestly.<\/p>\n<p>Second, did you stay up all night and watch the show? Or are you in Europe? Anyway, hope you liked it.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for the congrats on Brown!<\/p>\n<p>Hope you&#8217;re safe and well,&#8221; &#8220;Clay&#8221; wrote back to the test email.<\/p>\n<p>The explanation of how and why the character speaks to\/sees ghosts was also included in the series finale.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-3\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"56.5\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"3\">\n<p>E! News reached out to Netflix to confirm the email address is being run by them or someone involved with the show.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"video-int-txt-4\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"33\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-video-text\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"6\">\n<p>A TV show&nbsp;having ant easter egg line of communication isn&#8217;t a new practice. <em>Normal People<\/em>, Hulu&#8217;s series based on <strong>Sally Rooney<\/strong>&#8216;s novel, featured the email address for Connell Waldron (<strong>Paul Mescal<\/strong>) on screen.
