And to be marching. And to be right there with us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mon\u00e1e&#8217;s message was mirrored in a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CAvc9TkF0BJ\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instagram<\/a> post that she made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1156273\/lebron-james-justin-bieber-and-more-stars-speak-out-about-george-floyd-s-death\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in response to the death<\/a> of <strong>George Floyd<\/strong>. In it, she urged people to join the front lines of Black Lives Matter protests to bring more awareness to the movement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m tired of talking and begging. This is a step,&#8221; she began. &#8220;Only. WE NEED SYSTEMIC CHANGE and LONGTERM JUSTICE to be SERVED ON BEHALF OF OUR PEOPLE. Yes WE will keep speaking and marching AND BURNING SHIT DOWN.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"56.913559322034\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"12.030508474576\">\n<p>&#8220;AND when will the majority of protests &amp; outrage be led by white people &amp; police officers everywhere?&#8221; Mon\u00e1e continued. &#8220;Internally and publicly! These are your people murdering us. Why are OUR voices &amp; outrage LOUDER THAN YOURS during these times? WE DIDN&#8217;T DO THIS. I&#8217;m tired of US HAVING TO DO THE WORK YOU SHOULD BE DOING.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to calling for allies, the <em>Homecoming<\/em> actress has also been giving back to protesters by donating. On May 30, she matched rapper <strong>Noname<\/strong>&#8216;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1157554\/chrissy-teigen-janelle-monae-and-more-stars-help-pay-for-minnesota-protestors-bail\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">$1,000 donation<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1157554\/chrissy-teigen-janelle-monae-and-more-stars-help-pay-for-minnesota-protestors-bail\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to the Minnesota Freedom Fund<\/a>, a nonprofit organization that helps pay bail for individuals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"video-int-txt-3\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"34.723618090452\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-video-text\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"17.361809045226\">\n<p>Like Mon\u00e1e, several celebrities have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/photos\/31056\/stars-donating-to-black-lives-matter-organizations\/1018965\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">donated<\/a> in support of protesters.&nbsp;Among them&nbsp;are&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/chrissy_teigen\">Chrissy Teigen<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/steve_carell\">Steve Carell<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/seth_rogen\">Seth Rogen<\/a><\/strong>. Vowing to be better allies, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/blake_lively\">Blake Lively<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/ryan_reynolds\">Ryan Reynolds<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;also donated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1157663\/blake-lively-and-ryan-reynolds-donate-200-000-to-naacp-legal-defense-fund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">$200,000 the NAACP Legal Defense Fund<\/a>, which fights racial injustice by making structural changes to expand democracy and eliminate disparities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is just a start,&#8221; Lively and Reynolds&nbsp;said of their donation. &#8220;We also pledge to stay educated and vote in every local election. We want to know the positions of school board nominees, sheriffs, mayors, councilpersons. We want to know their positions on justice. But mainly, we want to use our privilege and platform to be an ally. And to play a part in easing pain for so many who feel as though this grand experiment is failing them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-4\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"57.376146788991\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"7.7798165137615\">\n<p><em>&#8220;E! stands in solidarity with the black community against systemic racism and oppression experienced every day in America,&#8221; the network said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1157639\/e-stands-in-solidarity-with-the-black-community-to-be-silent-is-to-be-complicit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a> on May 31. &#8220;We owe it to our black staff, talent, production partners and viewers to demand change and accountability.
