With Silverthorne unfurling the town\u2019s proclamation wrapped around a set of handlebars last week, Cycle Silverthorne Month will be returning in June for the fourth consecutive year.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur recent proclamation coincides with the state of Colorado\u2019s designation of June as bike month as well,\u201d said Kim Jardim, a spokeswoman for the town, as she expressed her excitement to see the events return for another year.<\/p>\n

\u201cCycling is a healthy and efficient transportation option and it\u2019s also a great way to just get outside and recreate,\u201d she continued. \u201cOur community loves cycling and we feel like that\u2019s worthy of a celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, the kickoff party will be at Silverthorne\u2019s First Friday celebration June 7 on the lawn of the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center, but that\u2019s not all the town is planning for the month. Other events are as follows:<\/p>\n

June 3 \u2014 Yoga for cyclists<\/p>\n

June 4 \u2014 Bike to School Day at Silverthorne Elementary<\/p>\n

June 6 \u2014 Fundamentals of mountain biking and foam rolling for cyclists<\/p>\n

June 7 \u2014 First Friday celebration at SPAC and late-night happy hour at Sauce on the Blue<\/p>\n

June 10 \u2014 Yoga for cyclists and bike safety presentation<\/p>\n

June 11 \u2014 Fundamentals of mountain biking<\/p>\n

June 12 \u2014 Bike to happy hour at Sauce on the Blue and \u201cMiles of Portraits\u201d presentation<\/p>\n

June 17 \u2014 Yoga for cyclists<\/p>\n

June 19 \u2014 Bike to movie, \u201cBlood Road\u201d<\/p>\n

June 20 \u2014 Bike to happy hour at Angry James Brewery<\/p>\n

June 24 \u2014 Yoga for cyclists and foam rolling for cyclists<\/p>\n

June 26 \u2014 Bike to Work Day and the Cycle Silverthorne finale at The Bakers\u2019 Brewery<\/p>\n
