{"id":24281,"date":"2019-05-24T18:02:27","date_gmt":"2019-05-25T00:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b1044428"},"modified":"2019-05-24T18:02:27","modified_gmt":"2019-05-25T00:02:27","slug":"everything-we-know-about-big-little-lies-season-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kift\/music-news\/everything-we-know-about-big-little-lies-season-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Everything We Know About Big Little Lies Season 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"photo-txt-0\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"35.716494845361\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-photo-text\" readability=\"19.164948453608\">\n<p>Friends, we are just weeks\u2014MERE WEEKS!\u2014away from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/meryl_streep\">Meryl Streep<\/a><\/strong> on our TVs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And not Meryl Streep in a movie we&#8217;re watching on our TVs\u2014Meryl Streep on a TV show, surrounded by other movie stars whose presence is equally confusing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re obviously talking about the second season of <em>Big Little Lies<\/em>, which is coming to HBO in June.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/reese_witherspoon\">Reese Witherspoon<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/nicole_kidman\">Nicole Kidman<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/laura_dern\">Laura Dern<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/zoe_kravitz\">Zo\u00eb Kravitz<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/shailene_woodley\">Shailene Woodley<\/a><\/strong> are all returning, along with Streep as the grieving mother of Perry (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/alexander_skarsgard\">Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/a><\/strong>) whose (not) terribly tragic death was at the center of the first season. Now she&#8217;s come to Monterey for answers, and instead she&#8217;s just finding a group of women who aren&#8217;t talking but who are slowly unraveling in the wake of the thing they&#8217;re not talking about.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"65.459649122807\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"21.819883040936\">\n<p>As we get closer and closer to the season two premiere, we&#8217;re slowly getting more and more information about what to expect from the return of the hit formerly-limited series and we&#8217;re only getting more and more excited.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Writer <strong>David E. Kelley<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/2019\/05\/23\/succession-season-2-trailer-premiere-date\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gave EW<\/a> a few insights into the new season, which&nbsp;really digs into the aftermath of Perry&#8217;s death, caused by Bonnie (Kravitz), when she saw him getting aggressive with Celeste (Kidman). Kelley wrote&nbsp;all seven episodes&nbsp;for the new season. Kelley, who was nominated for an Emmy for writing <em>Big Little Lies<\/em> season one and won one as executive producer on the then-limited series, wrote the new season from a novella done by <em>Big Little Lies<\/em> book scribe Liane Moriarty.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We went to Liane [Moriarty, author of the original novel] and asked, \u2018Do you see any more life in these characters? You wrote the book \u2014 do you see them having life beyond what you wrote?&#8217; She came up with a novella, which was key. David took it and thought, \u2018Is there something I can do with it?&#8217; Reese and Nicole were involved, and they felt that there was more life in the characters. Arnold won an Oscar for Best Short Film, Live Action in 2005 for <em>Wasp<\/em>. It&#8217;s about how people deal with trauma after the fact. Viewers will also go back in time and see what happened after the infamous push, according to scenes in the trailer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When we come back, their lives, like all of our lives, seem very well put together on the surface but then the fissures and the fractures being to emerge,&#8221; EP David E.
