{"id":24558,"date":"2019-05-30T20:31:00","date_gmt":"2019-05-31T02:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b1045778"},"modified":"2019-05-30T20:31:00","modified_gmt":"2019-05-31T02:31:00","slug":"rupauls-drag-race-season-11-crowns-a-winner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kift\/music-news\/rupauls-drag-race-season-11-crowns-a-winner\/","title":{"rendered":"RuPaul&#8217;s Drag Race Season 11 Crowns a Winner"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"photo-txt-0\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"42\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-photo-text\" readability=\"24\">\n<p>It was always going to come down to this.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The season 11 finale of RuPaul&#8217;s Drag Race went just about exactly as we expected it to, which&nbsp;is also just about exactly how it should have gone, resulting in the face-off we&#8217;d all been waiting for since the first time we saw that same spectacular face-off earlier this season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Silky Nutmeg Ganache was the first queen to choose a lip sync rival, and she chose Brooke Lynn. Silky was then eliminated, and after A&#8217;Keria and Yvie had their moment, A&#8217;Keria was eliminated, leaving Yvie Oddly and Brooke Lynn Hytes to fight it out in the final lip sync to Lady Gaga&#8217;s &#8220;Edge of Glory.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s exactly what we all thought would and should happen, but from there, the winner was a bigger question, only because Yvie and Brooke Lynn were fairly equal in terms of reasons to win and reasons not to win.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"photo-txt-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"38.06660412758\">\n<div class=\"column post-content__image--left post-content__image\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image--full\" src=\"https:\/\/akns-images.eonline.com\/eol_images\/Entire_Site\/2019024\/rs_634x1031-190124105843-Yyvie_Oddly.jpg?fit=inside|900:auto&amp;output-quality=90\" title=\"RuPaul's Drag Race\" alt=\"RuPaul's Drag Race\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"image__credits\">VH1<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-photo-text\" readability=\"16.807183364839\">\n<p>It genuinely could have been either one, but in the end, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/rupaul\">RuPaul<\/a><\/strong> named Yvie Oddly (and whoever&#8217;s face she had on the back of her own face) as the winner of <em>Drag Race<\/em> season 11.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(We&#8217;d like to name Yvie&#8217;s dad, who makes his friends and colleagues watch <em>Drag Race<\/em> episodes, a secondary winner, because he&#8217;s great.)<\/p>\n<p>The finale also awarded Nina West with Miss Congeniality, which is correct, and reminded us all that &#8220;Oppalance: You Own Everything&#8221; is this season&#8217;s &#8220;Miss Vanjie.&#8221; We&#8217;re going to be singing that remix for a while.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-3\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"56\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"2\">\n<p><em>RuPaul&#8217;s Drag Race<\/em> airs on VH1.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1045778\/rupaul-s-drag-race-season-11-crowns-a-winner?cmpid=rss-000000-rssfeed-365-topstories&#038;utm_source=eonline&#038;utm_medium=rssfeeds&#038;utm_campaign=rss_topstories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: E!
