Today, Mark Wahlberg<\/a><\/strong> turns 48 years old and boy oh boy the man is just getting better with age. Sure, we will forever be grateful for his Calvin Klein ads<\/a> and his epic rap game when he was known as Marky Mark in the early ’90s, but his time as an actor is really what we’re thankful for today.<\/p>\n

After following in his big brother Donnie Wahlberg’s<\/strong> footsteps in the music industry, the Boston native<\/a> shot onto the movie scene in 1995 with a role in The Basketball Diaries<\/em>. He then wowed fans with his role as a porn star in Boogie Nights<\/em> and by the early ’00s he was everywhere.<\/p>\n

From The Perfect Storm<\/em> and Planet of the Apes<\/em> to All the Money in the World<\/em> and 2018’s Instant Family<\/em>, Wahlberg has pretty much played any, and every, role we could imagine him in.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

He’s made us believe in the every-man with his role in Invincible<\/em> and restored our faith in humanity<\/a> with Patriots Day<\/em> and there is plenty more where those came from.<\/p>\n

The actor can do drama, action and of course comedy\u2014we’re looking at you Ted<\/em> and The Other Guys<\/em>\u2014and we really can’t wait to see what he does next.<\/p>\n
