Grammy-nominated guitarist, composer and performer Tommy Emmanuel is distinguished as one of only five musicians handpicked by his mentor, Chet Atkins, as a Certified Guitar Player. Emmanuel and singer-songwriter Logan Ledger will play at Breckenridge\u2019s Riverwalk Center on Thursday, June 20.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel developed a style of solo guitar playing that encompasses the range of a whole band \u2014 simultaneously covering drums, bass, rhythm and lead guitar, and a vocal melody.<\/p>\n

At the age of 6, he was touring Australia with his family band. By 30, he was a lead guitarist at stadiums in Europe. At 44, he received the rare honor of being named a CGP by Atkins. Today, he plays hundreds of sold-out shows every year from Nashville to Sydney to London.<\/p>\n

Last year he released \u201cAccomplice One,\u201d an album of collaborations with musicians like Jason Isbell, Mark Knopfler, Rodney Crowell, Jerry Douglas, Amanda Shires, Ricky Skaggs and many more.<\/p>\n

Joining Emmanuel is Ledger, whose self-titled debut was produced by 13-time Grammy-winner T Bone Burnett.<\/p>\n

Taking up guitar at age 12, Ledger soon began writing songs of his own. Later, while attending Columbia University, Ledger had a bluegrass show on the campus radio station and played in a number of bluegrass bands, then moved to Nashville not long after graduation.<\/p>\n

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30. Tickets range from $35-$45 and can be purchased at BreckMusic.org.<\/p>\n
