Ready to travel back in time for what’s sure to be a hair-raising American Horror Story<\/em> season of chills and thrills?<\/p>\n

American Horror Story: 1984<\/em>, which is AHS<\/em> season 9, premieres Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m. on FX. The new season was teased with a young woman being chased through the woods<\/a> by an unknown assailant. She ends up in a cabin.<\/p>\n

Details about the new season are being kept under wraps. We do know Emma Roberts<\/a><\/strong> and Olympian Gus Kenworthy<\/a><\/strong> will play boyfriend and girlfriend in the new season. Evan Peters<\/a><\/strong> is not likely to appear<\/a>, having previously said he was taking a break from the series which he’s appeared in every season of so far. Sarah Paulson<\/a><\/strong> is expected to return.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

AHS<\/em> executive producer Tim Minear<\/strong> previously teased the new season as “awesome.”<\/p>\n

“I think it’s gonna be really scary but a lot of fun, like it always is. And that if you have a taste for ’80s horror, you’re in for a treat,” Minear told The Wrap<\/a> in May 2019.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

FX also announced the return dates for Mayans M.C.<\/em>, Mr. Inbetween<\/em> and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em>. Mayans<\/em> season two premieres Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 10 p.m., Mr. Inbetween<\/em> season 2 hits on Thursdays, Sept. 12 at 10 p.m., and It’s Always Sunny<\/em> returns on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. on FXX.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

The cast of AHS<\/em> season eight included Peters, Roberts, Paulson, Cody Fern<\/strong>, Jessica Lange<\/a><\/strong>, Connie Britton<\/a><\/strong>, Kathy Bates<\/strong>, Taissa Farmiga<\/strong>, Dylan McDermott<\/a><\/strong>, Angela Bassett<\/a><\/strong>, Frances Conroy<\/strong>, Billy Porter<\/strong>, B.D. Wong<\/strong>, Cheyenne Jackson<\/strong> and Billie Lourd<\/a><\/strong>. Expect more American Horror Story<\/em> news as production gears up and the premiere date gets closer.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
