Fraser Winter Park police discovered a credit card skimmer attached to one of the machines inside a local store on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs you can see, the item looks very much like the face plate to the actual machine, and only took a few seconds to install,\u201d warned the Fraser Winter Park Police Department on its Facebook page. <\/p>\n
Investigators do not believe a data breach occurred because the device would need to be removed from the real reader to access any data stored on it. Because police do not believe that anyone\u2019s information was stolen, they have not named the business were the skimmer was found.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the department reported that no other devices were found at any other stores in the Fraser Valley, and police are trying to pull video footage of the person who placed the skimmer for possible identification. <\/p>\n
