{"id":28275,"date":"2019-08-04T20:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-08-05T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b1061401"},"modified":"2019-08-04T20:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-08-05T02:00:00","slug":"scott-disick-willa-ford-transform-steve-aokis-spare-room-see-the-before-after","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kift\/music-news\/scott-disick-willa-ford-transform-steve-aokis-spare-room-see-the-before-after\/","title":{"rendered":"Scott Disick &amp; Willa Ford Transform Steve Aoki&#8217;s Spare Room: See the Before &amp; After!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/akns-images.eonline.com\/eol_images\/Entire_Site\/201972\/rs_600x600-190802094412-600SteveAoki-WillaFord-FLD101.jpg?fit=around|600:467&amp;crop=600:467;center,top&amp;output-quality=90\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"video-int-txt-0\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"40.905225863596\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-video-text\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"24.73339238264\">\n<p><strong>Steve Aoki<\/strong>&#8216;s Las Vegas mansion had just about everything: a lacquered home office straight out of a NASA control room, an indoor &#8220;playhouse&#8221; that functions as a literal gymnastics studio and the deepest in-ground pool in Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every room has its own story,&#8221; the DJ explained during Sunday&#8217;s series premiere of <em>Flip It Like Disick<\/em>, as he led <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/scott_disick\">Scott Disick<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>Benny Luciano<\/strong> through the open corridors of his supremely decorated desert lair.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the office space\u2014which Aoki fondly introduced as his &#8220;neon future cave,&#8221; for good reason\u2014and playhouse, the musician&#8217;s residence touts a metallic (like, floor-to-ceiling) <em>Game of Thrones<\/em>-inspired dining area, a &#8220;sneaker archive closet&#8221; with enough display items to stock a small store and a generally exciting&nbsp;display of one-of-a-kind adornments. See: the two-headed model dragon inside the fish tank in his living room.<\/p>\n<p>But for all its assets, there was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/shows\/flip_it_like_disick\/news\/1058545\/see-scott-disick-take-on-steve-aoki-s-guest-room-a-25-foot-pool-jump-on-flip-it-like-disick\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">one room in the house<\/a> whose personality Steve hadn&#8217;t quite nailed down yet. And being that he and Scott go way back, the artist knew just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/shows\/flip_it_like_disick\/news\/1058801\/see-scott-disick-tackle-home-renovation-projects-for-french-montana-steve-aoki-more-in-flip-it-like-disick-supertease\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the real estate expert<\/a> to call with his request for an additional bedroom.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"70.789915966387\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"33.428571428571\">\n<p>&#8220;Steve wants some help designing one of his rooms,&#8221; Scott told the camera, explaining that even though he &#8220;typically [buys and sells] houses,&#8221; he made an exception in this case to help a friend.<\/p>\n<p>And while a room revamp might seem like a pretty standard request for folks in real estate, Aoki&#8217;s understanding of architecture, and the way it had already manifested in his dwelling space, upped the stakes a little bit. This was no ordinary home, so Scott called in interior designer <strong>Willa Ford<\/strong> to ensure Aoki&#8217;s new guest room turned out just as extraordinary.<\/p>\n<p>While Scott, Benny and realtor <strong>Kozet Luciano<\/strong> (who&#8217;s also Benny&#8217;s wife) shopped for new properties to renovate in Hidden Hills, Willa&#8217;s team of design gurus went to work on a just-flipped home in Malibu <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/shows\/flip_it_like_disick\/news\/1060433\/willa-ford-s-eye-for-interior-design-impresses-scott-disick-during-flip-it-like-disick-s-series-premiere\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">that needed furnishing<\/a> in record time. Willa herself took off to Vegas, where she aimed to build a pair of freestanding slumber &#8220;pods&#8221; from electric glass in 48 hours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ready, set, go,&#8221; instructed one of several construction employees tasked with mounting an enormous slab of glass to the floor of Aoki&#8217;s spare room. Willa\u2014whose first major design assignment for Scott doubled as a trial run to determine her fitness for a permanent role on his team\u2014crouched near the base and held her breath.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m gonna start praying,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I&#8217;m serious.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-4\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"67\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"24\">\n<p>Unsurprisingly, it turned out she didn&#8217;t really need to. After hurrying back to L.A. to finish staging the Malibu house with the rest of her team, Willa returned to Aoki&#8217;s concrete mansion\u2014with Scott and Benny in tow\u2014to unveil her latest masterpiece.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m sweating right now,&#8221; she laughed, before later telling the camera, &#8220;It has been a week of nerves. Honestly, I just want to lock myself in one of those pods and just turn off the lights and be done with it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Good thing she didn&#8217;t, though, because the tech-savvy double hotel suite&#8217;s big reveal went even more magnificently than planned. What was once a modestly furnished TV room had been totally transformed into an ultra-modern set of mini bedrooms, each protected by sound-proofed, geometric glass walls whose opacity changes with the flip of a switch for privacy. Suffice to say, Aoki was thoroughly impressed.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-6\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"65\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"20\">\n<p>&#8220;Wow,&#8221; he said first. &#8220;It&#8217;s amazing.
