{"id":28389,"date":"2019-08-06T14:31:38","date_gmt":"2019-08-06T20:31:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/?p=59243"},"modified":"2019-08-06T14:31:38","modified_gmt":"2019-08-06T20:31:38","slug":"rmc-workshop-to-teach-shutterbugs-how-to-shoot-the-stars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kift\/local-news\/rmc-workshop-to-teach-shutterbugs-how-to-shoot-the-stars\/","title":{"rendered":"RMC workshop to teach shutterbugs how to shoot the stars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rocky Mountain Conservancy is offering a workshop for anyone<br \/>\nwho\u2019s ever wanted to photograph the night sky but doesn\u2019t know the techniques<br \/>\nto do it.<\/p>\n<p>The class, Night Sky Landscape Photography, will be Aug. 23-25. <\/p>\n<p>According to its organizers, it will introduce intermediate<br \/>\nlevel photographers to techniques and camera settings that will help them photograph<br \/>\nthe Milky Way, the moon, the stars and other astronomical features using DSL<br \/>\ncameras and standard lenses. <\/p>\n<p>The class will also offer information about how to plan for and<br \/>\nedit the images, as it will be led by Stan Honda, a photographer who has years<br \/>\nof photography experience across the United States. <\/p>\n<p>For the past few years, he has been working on night sky<br \/>\nlandscapes, and has been an artist-in-residence for five national parks,<br \/>\nincluding Rocky Mountain National Park.<\/p>\n<p>His work has contributed to the Dark Sky Park designation of Chaco Culture National Historic Park and Flagstaff Area National Monument.
