A man from Kremmling is one of seven new members on Colorado Sportsperson\u2019s Roundtable, a group that serves as liaison between sportsmen and women and leadership at Colorado Parks and Wildlife, according to the agency. <\/p>\n
The roundtable meets twice a year. It is designed to better
\nconnect CPW leadership with Colorado\u2019s hunters, anglers and trappers. In a news
\nrelease, CPW announced the addition of Steve
\nSchake of Kremmling to group, along with six other individuals.<\/p>\n
The agency says the roundtable offers an opportunity to discuss pressing issues around hunting and fishing and the management of wildlife resources. Each new member is expected to serve a two-year term. <\/p>\n
Altogether, the roundtable has 17 members appointed by CPW
\nand two elected delegates from each of four Sportsperson\u2019s Regional Caucuses.
\nRegional Caucuses meet twice a year before the statewide meetings, giving
\nhunters and anglers the opportunity to provide ideas and feedback to their
\nrepresentatives. <\/p>\n
When the Roundtable meets next, its members are expected to
\naddress topics including recent changes to the Big Game Season Structure,
\nagency efforts to increase access for hunting and fishing and strategies for
\nfostering future generations of sportsmen and women.<\/p>\n
