Year after year, the MTV VMAs always find a way to up the shock factor<\/a>. <\/p>\n

This is, after all, the annual show that has gifted us with moments such as Miley Cyrus<\/a><\/strong> twerking on Robin Thicke<\/a><\/strong>, Kanye West<\/a><\/strong> interrupting Taylor Swift<\/a><\/strong> mid-speech and Britney Spears<\/a><\/strong> sharing a steamy kiss<\/a> with Madonna<\/a><\/strong> onstage. So, it should come as no surprise that the fashion game<\/a> is just as bold and entertaining. <\/p>\n

Indeed, the jaw dropping escapades actually kick off on the red carpet, where our favorite celebrities are celebrated for pushing the limits and blowing us away with their creativity.<\/p>\n

Who could forget when Nicki Minaj<\/a><\/strong> rocked remnants of stuffed animals<\/a> on her legs or when Lady Gaga<\/a><\/strong> chose a meat dress<\/a> designed by Franc<\/strong> Fernandez<\/strong>? (ICYMI, the Oscar winner has since loaned the look\u2014boots and all\u2014to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

And even when we think<\/em> we’ve seen it all, someone arrives clad in an ensemble we couldn’t have put together in our wildest dreams.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
