Lauren Graham<\/a><\/strong>‘s return to TV will be Extraordinary<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Gilmore Girls<\/em> star has joined the cast of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist<\/em>, NBC’s upcoming musical dramedy, as a series regular. E! News has learned Graham will play Joan, boss to Zoey, replacing Carmen Cusack<\/strong> in a pilot recast.<\/p>\n

The cast of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist<\/em> is led by Suburgatory<\/em> and What\/If<\/em> star Jane Levy<\/strong> as Zoey, a computer coder who begins to hear the thoughts and desires of those around her through songs. Pitch Perfect<\/em> and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend<\/em> veteran Skylar Astin<\/strong>, Glee<\/em>‘s Alex Newell<\/strong>, Book Club<\/em> and Last Man on Earth<\/em> star Mary Steenburgen<\/strong>, The O.C.<\/em> and Law & Order: SVU<\/em> veteran Peter Gallagher<\/strong>, Luke Cage<\/em>‘s John Clarence Stewart<\/strong> and Barry<\/em> star Andrew Leeds<\/strong> are all part of the ensemble cast.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Graham, who previously spent six seasons on NBC in Parenthood<\/em>, most recently popped up in Curb Your Enthusiasm<\/em> as a love interest for Larry David<\/a><\/strong> in 2017. She returned to Stars Hollow and Lorelai Gilmore for the 2016 revival miniseries Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life<\/em> on Netflix opposite much of the original Gilmore Girls<\/em> cast including TV daughter Alexis Bledel<\/a><\/strong>. Graham also provided a voice on Disney’s Vampirina<\/em> series. Her other TV credits include The Odd Couple<\/em>, Web Therapy<\/em>, NewsRadio<\/em>, Law & Order<\/em>, Seinfeld<\/em> and Caroline in the City<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

In addition to her acting, Graham has penned two books, Someday, Someday, Maybe<\/em> and Talking as Fast as I Can: from Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

TVLine<\/a> first reported Graham’s casting. No premiere date for Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist<\/em> has been announced other than midseason 2019-2020 on NBC.<\/p>\n
