Those with the Ikon Base Pass<br \/>\nwill get five-day access, also with no blackout dates.<\/p>\n<p>The Matterhorn features more than 3,500 acres of terrain in Switzerland<br \/>\nand Italy in the highest skiable terrain in the Alps. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s connected lift service will also offer Ikon Pass<br \/>\nholders access to Rothorn, Gornergrat and the Schwarzsee-Matterhorn glacier<br \/>\nparadise within the Zermatt ski area, plus Cervinia-Valtournenche ski areas in<br \/>\nItaly, collectively known as the Matterhorn ski paradise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Matterhorn is a true icon known around the world, so we<br \/>\nare thrilled to have Zermatt join the Ikon Pass community,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/erikforsell\">Erik Forsell<\/a>, chief marketing<br \/>\nofficer for Alterra Mountain Company. \u201cIkon Pass strives to continually offer<br \/>\npass holders unique experiences in the mountains. Now they can experience<br \/>\nZermatt\u2019s glacier skiing, traditional Swiss fondue, plus its infamous European<br \/>\napr\u00e8s ski across two countries, on one pass.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The European addition follows the announcement of a new partnership<br \/>\nbetween the Ikon Pass and Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Summit County for the<br \/>\n2019-20 ski season.
